Warner going early always brings a smile to my face.

Same here but it's catch 22 for me as I do like watching him bat.

Not the best comeback for Davy Boy in the longer version of the game so far.....

@MN5 he's nowhere near fully fit. If Pucovski was fit he might well have missed this game.

as a kiwi cricket fan you should know this better than most. Guys get rushed back when the pool of other options is paddling depth

Historically yes but we have loads of guys banging on the door of the test team at the moment ( apparently )

Not sure if correct but looks like they are debuting 3 players in this game and another two debuted in the last two games. So 20 players definitely seems about right.

Incredible to still be in this series!

Not supporting India per se but definitely cheering some early wickets here!

I'm the same as they are the under-dog in this with all their players out

If India can nab one or both of Marnus or Smith early they'll probably rate their chances of rolling the Aussies reasonably cheaply.

Aus in a very NZ-like position of relying on the same two guys again

What result in this test helps NZ more? I thought we needed to cheer for Aust.

For Australia with 4 tests remaining (this test + 3 in South Africa)

    • win 3 out of 4 against India/South Africa; or draw vs India and win 2 against South Africa

For India with 5 tests remaining (this test + 4 vs England):

    • win 4 out of 5 against Australia/England; or win 3 and draw 2)

It's complicated but Australia lose they will go below 70% so NZ would at least be in front of them. However they potentially have a 3 test tour to SA which is not confirmed or cancelled at this stage. If they lose this test I imagine that the chance of the SA series being cancelled will decrease quite a lot.

If Australia lose this test and do go to SA we will need SA to either win 1 test or draw 2.

India is a bit more simple as their series against England is definitely scheduled to go ahead. They need another 110 points from their next games so either 3 wins/2 draws or 4 wins will see them above NZ.

I think our best chance is an Indian win in this game.

I hear ya. Thank goodness Henry Nicholls has stepped up as Rossco has been really unRossco like of late.

Interesting stat they just showed. Australia's bowling attack has 1013 test wickets, India's 13 test wickets.

To use a tired old cricket cliche, this game is delicately poised at lunch. 2/65 with Marnus and Smith in the middle. You feel like this partnership goes a long way to deciding the game. I can see us getting to 2/200, or being all out 146.
