It’s amazing how many players get injured in pre season training.I am an old codger who played in the sixties and I can’t recall losing any players before the season even started.Training of course is on a different level now,but what are the events leading to these injuries. He isn’t the first and won’t be the last.Sad really.

I've lost count on how many operations McWhannell has had in the last 3 years.

I suppose that means van den Hoven would come into the main squad.

who would win an operation count out of him and Tucker?!

my late former boss played for Qld back in the day. He used to laugh at my preseason regime. In his day preseason games were preseason. Now we had preseason training to get ready for preseason games. At one point i was training 11 months of the year, compared to his 6.

Has Catley and Gordon Brunskill had us running around the Cambridge Racecourse.Don’t recall the grass being that soft, but the alcohol the night before sitting pretty heavy!Running around the block on the road another less than soft surface.Playing a ten aside tournament at Easter in Ngahinapouri another gut buster.

Shame we lost Allardice and Retallick won't be back till next year. Look very weak in second row, even if I am a fan of Vaa'i.

Is Mcwhannell confirmed out long term or just a few weeks for healing and rehab? Presume Brown will cover and Finau and Van den Hoven are rather good cover from wtg. Not so horribly gloomy in my view.

                        🙂

Tucker for the seriousness of his injuries. McWhannell's injuries have been restricted to his legs/knees, while Tucker has had major operations on shoulders and knees.

busting his tail bone gives him the title! at least he gets the odd game in, mcwhannell been about 3 years!

@Yeetyaah He graduated into being a dominant force at NPC level this season, and has a great frame to work with. He is good at securing possession and has presence

Inexperienced is the word I'd use. Vaa'i and Ah Kuoi to start again with Brown off the bench is probably the best option. I hope Lord get his chance too but he will need to add some bulk.

Fair, Lord is 19, Vaii'i is 20, and Ah Kuoi is 21. Super green.

Still plenty of room to improve for all of them.
