All except Ferris Buellers Day off
Seen all bar FBDO and Big. Would not watch either now. Can’t stand Matthew Broderick and early Tom Hanks < later Tom Hanks by a days march. Second thoughts on Breakfast Club as I think I saw it over two sittings but was pissed both times.
Oh and can’t understand the love for ET. Saccharine with and added layer of schmaltz topped with sugar.
Yuck!
Not seen Roger Rabbit.
Ferris Bueller's day off is the most over rated movie of all time. Although it has stiff competition from Bill & Ted.
Dude
Fuckin' dude
Ah yes, you've just reminded me of something else which gives those 2 stiff competition. Dude, where's my car.
And then?

Who are these people who rate it ? I've certainly never met any of them.
Expand your circle of friends and colleagues. I've never met anyone who thought it was the best, but there's certainly much worse.

It’s a massive cult film in the US I believe, but yeah, I can’t say I’ve come across anyone who gushes about it in same way as most of the other films on that list.

I think Matthew Broderick has turned me off every single movie he has been in except Godzilla and the Cable Guy.
Glory?
Good one. He wasn’t ok in that. War Games also ain’t half bad.
Still doesn’t offset
Godzilla
Inspector Gadget
The Cable Guy -

The Cable GuyI seem to recall War Games being quite good. Its probably funny to watch electronic war being waged using dial up these days...

Do. Any film which has the line "Is that a rabbit in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" just has to be genius.

@MN5 The Godfather one I just don't get. For sure G3 was not a patch on 1 & 2 but it was not the complete turkey that it seems to be labelled as. I reckon the worst thing about it (barring Sofia Coppola) was simply that it was not 1 or 2.

I used to think that, and always thought it was only missing Duvall, but I did a recent rewatch and it's just bad, Sofia Coppola is actually the one thing not as bad as everyone makes out - everything else, the story, the direction, etc was.
Anyway, it got the Godfather one wrong, by putting 2 as higher than 1, that's just trying to be too cool for school B/S. The Godfather is a perfect movie.
-
@Nepia We can certainly agree that The Godfather was a perfect movie. G3 did not have the same compelling narrative of the other two and it was missing some notable characters. Not from a Puzo original might be part of the problem. Stand alone just an average gangster film, seem worse. In comparison to 1&2, it is nowhere.

Yeah, it's like you went to the lobby during intermission to grab more snacks.
