If you use a big enough scale, yes!

I do like me some Myriahedral Projections

It would make things easier. That sky fairy really fucked it up.

I will be fluent in Polish before I am done with the Fern.

7-11kts according to AC website for the match. Have they announced a course?

Whoops off the foils in pre start, well behind, very shit by TNZ. So as long as LR can keep it up (oo-er missus) the race is theirs.

This could be the defining race of the AC if LR wins against serve (so to speak).

Burling is terrible at the starts. If you go back to the last cup it was exactly the same except when he lost the starts then he had the speed to catch up. Now his starts are sinking his team.

I think that we should discuss map projections now. What is everyone's favourite and why? I've always been a fan (shouldn't use that word, the lambert conical supporters will be all over it) of the Mercator. It just makes NZ look bigger. A bit shit for navigation, but the symmetry is nice.

I thought the Mercator had been confirmed to be racist?
    You Racist.
In any case, with any of the cylindrical projections, including your racist Mercator.... I much prefer the version with China in the middle, rather than Europe. It just fits so much better, and incidentally with pleasing symmetry.

These races are all incredibly dull. The format, course and boats are a dud this year.

Especially in the light winds. We need some 20+ knots to make these races interesting. Otherwise 💤

Between that and Team NZ allegedly shopping around for overseas hosts if they retain the Cup, its the first Americas Cup that I haven't cared much about.

Well local knowledge doesn't appear to have been of any help. LR clearly more manoeuvrable in these conditions and piloted by someone who can work out time and distance.

There should be some pointed questions asked after this shitshow of a race.

NZ govt apparently paid ~ $40M for hosting rights. Do they get any TV broadcast revenue?

@tim You'd have to think they should get plenty of mileage out of the coverage for it this year though.
