His career is not going strong:

    Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Navy_Seals_vs._Zombies

And.... there's my Wednesday evening sorted.

    Well... that was quite good.
    Navy Seals vs Zombies....
There's some scene-defining, and then some sort of ruckus, and then some Navy Seals go in to kick ass and rescue the Vice-President, and there's some suspense-building, and then... HOLY SHIT - after all that suspense-building... it's ZOMBIES!

And, overall, pretty much every B-grade movie box ticked.

    • Protagonist with pregnant wife (instant heightened emotional stakes!)
    • Vice-President in danger (it's always the VP in these... it makes the sub-standard security slightly more believable)
    • terrible, terrible green-screen shot (mostly in the choice - why green-screen people free-falling, but then not include a more easily faked scene of parachutists landing?)
    • Navy-fucking-Seals (for 1 mission, plus another in flash-back, involving zero water at all)
    • flesh-eating-fucking-ZOMBIES, but of course it's probably actually a virus or a biological agent - 'cause we want our B-grade movies to be believable
    • fat-guy-comic-relief
    • and some spectacularly bad explosion effects. Like... Robot-Chicken bad, probably worse.

Overall - well, it's 4 muthafukking Navy Seals out of 5 easy-villians Zombies.

It’s proof that my post about Trancers was bullshit.

This movie makes Trancers look like the first two Terminator movies. Incredible.

Is that the one where he turns up to kick ass and chew bubble gum and he’s all out of bubble gum ?

Robbed at the Oscars I tell you.

Page Eight. A downbeat and understated spy drama made for TV film. There are two sequels which I've yet to watch. Stars Bill Nighy and Rachel Weisz. No explosions or gun play and sadly no tits but a well thought out and written film with some very good performances from the leads and most of the supporting cast.

Bill Nighy plays an ageing lothario very well.

4 slightly sleazy old spies out of four naive hotties.

This thread has clearly descended into talking about Z grade flicks from the 80s/90s. Can you please stop hijacking it ? Cheers.

SEALS = Sea Air and Land. No requirement for water at all.

It would be intriguing to see Paul Rudd and Sevu Reece stand next to each other to see who has the most colossal melon in relation to their body.

Am cautiously excited. The fact it's written and directed by Jason Reitman is a good start.

Also that it's in the same universe as GB1 & 2, and we are getting Bull Murray as Peter Venkman again is great.

All hinges on what else they have after nostalgia.

Do you mind, I’m trying to be controversial.

It’s so easy and other lies.....

Really good doco, live spoken word type flick about the most important member of GnR, Duff McKagan. Pretty well done yarns about how he conquered his demons backed up by some slightly lounge style GnR backing music. Duff ( fun fact: the Simpsons named the beer after him and his drinking ability ) seems like a bloody nice bloke too.
