That seems pretty bloody condescending to English rugby and in fact the entire 6 Nations tournament which has a big following and a shit load of history behind it. The part that makes no fucking sense to me is Argentina sharing the revenue. It's THEIR home game! Are Australia splitting the revenue from their home game against Argentina as well? Or is this a one way street? Because to me, it doesn't seem like Australia should be coming out of it with much money at all. They can give up their own fucking home game if they want a bail out.

Yes, well, Argentina needs money. As you say they can't play a game in the USA. No one would watch it. So they choose to play a game in one of the most famous rugby grounds in the world, which they know they can get a good crowd to.

Ah yes, this is just a cynical money grab by the ARU - unlike those noble, selfless All Blacks venturing into barbaric non-rugby territory to spread the good word and give the local Irish some love.

A quick look at some stats shows that the Aussie games haven't sold out in the RC in Argentina. Last year they got 25k into a 43k seater.
 
So the Argentina fans didn't show up, and hence, they've given the game to a 82,000 seater, which I believe will sell out. With probably more expensive tickets too.
 
Looking at it like that, makes a compelling argument.

Also, we aren't impacting the integrety of the RC where traditionally the home/away games have been hugely important in deciding the comp. Argentina now have one less home game, hurting their chances of winning the comp. 
But really I was just highligting the stupidity of the reasons given for playing the game at Twickers, which are beyond taking the piss.

I'll take you on that! I think it's a good idea and probably at least as popular as a Baabaa's game if not more so. Heck the crowd for the Crusaders/Sharks game was decent enough. I'd be tempted to go if I still lived out west.

Ummmm, yes. That's exactly what a shitload of my UK-rugby watching mates said after the RWC / during this year's 6N, being heartily sick of the tripe served up to them. 
I went the Crusaders-Sharks 5 years ago and it was awesome. I might go to this. I reckon it'll sell out. Sign me up to any Avatar bet.
