@jc haha wow that's quite blatant isn't it!
Very common thing in those days. In an even more blatant fashion local bands would record versions of overseas hits before they could reach the shores. NZ and Oz were masters at this. If the product wasn't available it seemed that you could re-create it.
Also if it wasn't a song palatable to the masses a band would take the tune and wrap another song around it.Take a song like 'Baby please don't go'. 1935 - Big Joe Williams. 1949 - John Lee Hooker. Van Morrison picked up the song and recorded it with Them - 1964. All just covers so far. Because Them's version was overshadowed by it's B-Side (Gloria) The Who picked the tune up (in their period as The High Numbers) and put new lyrics to it as I'm the Face
BTW - Jimmy Page on Rhythm Guitar on that track if you listen carefully.
THE best version of Baby please don’t go.....by far.

@mn5 that's terrible. Heard better version by pub bands. (as for the cross dressing?)
There's a better version by Them than the one posted, just can't find it on youtube. It is an album version from 1970 without Van Morrison, the keyboards and harmonica. Much dirtier and the guitar does the chugging parts.

I love Bon Scott era AC/DC even more than Brian Johnson’s but each to their own.

Can’t find the post but a recent dig at @R-L s music taste mentioned that The Edge was an overrated shit guitarist.
Well guess what? Rick Beato disagreesSounds like something I woulda said.
I think I switched this off the moment Rick compared the Edge to Jimmy Page.
The only thing remotely similar about Zep and U2 is the remarkable consistency of band members.....other than that they’re light years apart.

Classic fernist right there! Never mind the facts have an uninformed opinion
If you hadn’t switched off after 30 seconds you would have heard him say that is was because of the similarity of skill in orchestrating guitar parts. Nothing to do with playing similar or comparing the two bands they played in.

Rick Beato's view on a musician doesn't make it gospel, but the guy unequivocally knows what he's talking bout. Plenty of shitheads on youtube talking utter crap, but Beato ain't one of them.
Another thing that Beato is good at, is acknowledging different music tastes / skill and pointing out the intricacies of why he rates things so highly. He's fascinating, interesting, and to make a point that others could perhaps learn from, he is never ever a dick about it.

Rick Beato has to keep his youtube channel going, so he includes a lot of very mediocre music that is popular amongst his Gen-X viewers. \
Wouldn't be surprised if he has a video about how good a revoltingly mediocre song is, by like the fucking Foo Fighters or something. Awful.
