Tem Morrison probably wouldn't mind a well paid gig as Boba Fett or a really old clone too. Mind you the leads in the recent one "only" got a few hundred grand each which really surprises me given Star Wars is the biggest thing on the planet.

I just assumed given that it was Star Wars and there was maybe a reasonable chance it would do ok at the box office they'd be getting 8 figures.......

I think they get more cash if the film grosses a certain amount. In any case, they can live off ComiCon conventions for the rest of their lives if their acting careers don't take off.

Lots of tall, good looking, young women who want to be in Star Wars. Only one Harrison Ford. Now there is only one Ridley and Boyega and I imagine they will get a lot more for the next movies.

Yeah pretty sure some of them charge a couple of hundy for autographs, multiply that by lots and lots of nerds and you have a pretty good cash cow there.

I saw a doco on Tem Morrison and how he was basically broke, this was before that movie with him and Stan Walker but surely he could make a fucken killing at conventions from playing the dad, and the voice of, the most iconic bounty hunter in geek history.

True.....but those conventions are only a flight away and as I said a fan favourite like him should kill it.

My brother has a mate who is a dead ringer for that English actor Nick Frost (the fat guy in Cuban Fury). Anyway, this guy went to ComiCon or one of those conventions to get Frost's autograph. He was shocked to discover that he had to fork out 20 bucks for the privilege. 20 bucks for Cuban Fury boy! So if he can charge that, the sky is the limit for anyone who has been in a SW film.

I remember seeing a report from ComiCon a few years back where they interviewed the guy who played Greedo. Greedo ffs. They paid him to come to the US because he wore an alien mask on screen for 30 seconds.

Tem should be in farking clover.

That's awesome. Who in the world would actually have a clue what that dude looks like, ie being famous for being sucker punched by Han Solo ?

but hey, if they can make a living and were lucky enough to be cast in something like Star Wars then fair play to them

Have been to a few Armageddon Shows in Auckland over the years. Shook hands with that bald dude from the Stargate TV series. Meet Peter Mayhew (Chewy), Claudia Black, a fat McGyver.

Pretty easy for anyone who had 5 mins (or longer) of fame in a Sci Fi series or movie to live off that for the rest of their lives.

Have been watching VII on a recording and with more time to see things you pick up on some cool detail but also some pretty poor continuity and stuff.

For me that is fine. A movie doesn't have to be perfect to be entertaining and overall I still think that a pretty good job was done on this reboot. Far far better than Lucas' attempt anyway. His flaws were annoying while JJs are just minor things that pop up while the story is rollicking along. Could also be due to a lot of stuff being cut to trim the movie down.

In short, in isn't meant to be something to study in film school, the intention is simply to restart the franchise with new characters, get some new audience while pleasing the old fans as well. Fairly hard ask and done fairly well.
