Wilder has won his court case , fury must honour the rematch clause , ( which they claimed wilder broke by not activating in time )

So while everyone was excited for a fury v aj fight in august , that is now looking unlikely .

It’s looking like fury v wilder ( again ) aj v usyk , mid year , and should they both win, aj v fury end of year .

Or does Wilder get bought out? $ plus first shot at winner?
Other option risks belts going in all directions again doesn't it?

As always Wilder will be a punchers chance in this one. Should be exciting ( MN5 said in desperation )

As a sport it is in serious danger of not being relevant soon too, especially with how UFC is going. Boxing icons of yesteryear are a relic of the past unfortunately

At least Paul Gallen is going well though !

At least SBW had the good sense to realise that there it was no more fun and games after he was one round from going to hospital. Gallen will be the next Hopoate. Will build a record beating up bums and half-cripples then get destroyed by a recovering drug addict who was a contender a decade or more prior.

Fury has said he asked for 20 million , not sure if there is any wriggle room with that

Arum has said we won’t be paying him , we will take care of him first , then fight AJ later in the year

I think a SBW/Gallen fight would be interesting to say the least. Think Ali/Frasier with considerably less skill.

At least SBW had the good sense to realise that there it was no more fun and games after he was one round from going to hospital. Gallen will be the next Hopoate. Will build a record beating up bums and half-cripples then get destroyed by a recovering drug addict who was a contender a decade or more prior.

I think a SBW/Gallen fight would be interesting to say the least. Think Ali/Frasier with considerably less skill.

                        Gallen can actually fight though.

I have an inkling Joe Frasier may have been better.

Gallens power and chin are pretty impressive though. One wonders how he would have gone if he’d started years earlier.

SBW got injured? Which fight? I haven't kept an eye on him apart from chuckling last year when I read what Tyson said

And TBH I think he might have caused SBW a few too many problems, at 53 even!

Surely you remember the Botha fight? The 12 rounder that suddenly became 10 when SBW was on the verge of being knocked out. That was about 8 years ago and I don’t believe he has boxed since despite his generous offer to Iron Mike.

ah that one! So long ago was why it did not click for me, and yes SBW did seem troubled alright, quite lucky for him.
there was one since then but I don't blame you for forgetting Chauncy Weller.

I've watched Justice Huni last 2 fights.

He's a fucking monster and the real deal. Gallen has done well to carve out a niche for himself within the pop boxing game. But Huni will clean his clock. Thats the end of the road for Gallen.

@kiwiinmelb wilder is such a fucking idiot. He could bide his time and just wait out the winner. Taking a couple shitty opponents in the mean time. But no he wants to fuck up the biggest fight in recent history to only lose again.

At least SBW had the good sense to realise that there it was no more fun and games after he was one round from going to hospital. Gallen will be the next Hopoate. Will build a record beating up bums and half-cripples then get destroyed by a recovering drug addict who was a contender a decade or more prior.

SBW got injured? Which fight? I haven't kept an eye on him apart from chuckling last year when I read what Tyson said
                                      https://www.boxingscene.com/mike-tyson-views-sbw-fight-insult-boxing-wants-real-boxer--148797

Imagine if it was a prime Frans Botha ( no seriously, imagine it ) SBW would be in a world of trouble.

It’s all a massive joke isn’t it. It would be like taking 13 elite boxers with a basic understanding of league , giving them the best training for a couple of months and then have them play a game against 13 broken down losers who they found in a pub the afternoon of the game.

It's no more a joke than Gallen kicking off a career, after no real boxing ever at the end of his career....

SBW is now mod 30s with some boxing background. Gallen is late 30s and the biggest draw in Aussie boxing. Or are we saying that boxing in Aussie, on indeed, the world is a joke.

Is this an argument against it being a joke?
