@kiwipie it did, the last one that people went off on, I wasnt bothered by it.

And in other news (I suspect this is mostly American fans, there are some right nutters on the PGA pages hate for de Chambeau, hate for Koepka, for Reed, for the PGA after they pulled an event from Trumps course)

i would need a box of balls for that hole alone.

@mariner4life Did you see Dustin Johnson's shot to the 17th that hit the flag and shot sideways into the water - hilarious but must make a player feel like smashing his clubs.

Westwood is really taking the job seriously of taking the "best player never to win a" title from Montgomery - at aged 47. Yet another runner up and another tournamant where just posting a 70 (which would have been his worst round of the week) would have won him the title.

Pretty crazy and from 115th in the world rankings so not fancied in any way - his 6th major and almost 8 years since the last one (and over 17 years since his 1st).

It was an odd final round, neither Brooks nor Louis really fired a shot, and Mickelson could afford to play within himself down the stretch.

As such there wasn't really a 'moment'. It was just solid play from Phil while his challengers kept making mistakes.

FFS he’s hardly geriatric at 50.

Barely any physical disadvantage and experience wise he wins.

Does age mean anything in golf?

Not as much as other sports. Phil might be a little slimmer these days, but he hardly looks like he works out. He is fit and well, unlike Tiger with his bad back (pre-accident Tiger I mean). A lot of it is mental, he seems to really enjoy competing

@tim did you hear what Bryson was saying?

Was odd it sounded like he had metal spikes on, I thought everyone was all soft spikes?

Bit amusing really as I think plenty think he is a bit of a douche too!
