Taradale deserving winners against NOB Marist (sorry @Stockcar86) and took the Challenge Shield.

Taradale led all the way, three of their five tries went to number eight Iakapo Mapu. Taradale had a much bigger forward pack, their loosehead prop Wiremu Cottrell (15 games for Wanganui) was as tall as Taradale's locking pair and blindside flanker Josh Eden-Whaitiri.

Central's 18 points against MAC was all made up of three pointers, presumably by Harry Godfrey. I wonder if there was a drop goal or two in there?

Don't know whether this is his first game back from injury, but Will Tremain is on NOBM's bench.

I also hadn't realised that Penikolo Latu has changed clubs; he's now playing for MAC.

Only just checked Clive's team list for Saturday's game: both Tiaan Falcon and Jonah Lowe were named on the bench. So the first has already come out of managed isolation and the second is no longer injured!

Edited to add that Lolagi Visinia played for Clive as well.
