@mn5 most movies and series I think miss that aspect of these post-apocolyptic genre and go straight to the aftermath, rather than the chaotic shit that goes down as everyone realises this is the new world and how they deal with it...which is why I got a plan, although my plan is only for standard zombies, not fast aggro ones.
@Nepia I guess like an audiobook? Are a few fiction ones I been listening to, this one has Rami Malek as a character.
If Jesse Eisenberg can survive I reckon we all can, we just need to follow his rules.
Weirdly I don't like audiobooks or fiction podcasts.

Not coincidentally I have been incorporating more cardio in my routines.
Will be interesting as I mentioned earlier how long Black Summer lasts. As the potential future Mrs MN5 says it’s cool now but how much “shit the zombies are coming, we’d better run/fight” can a series sustain and keep itself interesting ?

We often patrol cemeteries at night and I have wondered what I would do if I saw a zombie walking out of the darkness. Surely it wouldn't be real and just someone playing a prank, but what if I was wrong? I think I would probably pretend I didn't see it and keep on driving.

Run it over. Better to be safe than sorry.

Right finally watching Bosch season 7, if you like the previous seasons then this continues in the same form, shame its ending but thanks @MiketheSnow for the IMDB potential further link. (no spoilers for season 7 thanks)
Watched Starstruck wth the missus and wasnt too bad, some funny parts, although short episodes, some parts a bit repetitive, but actually ok to watch.
Since I now finally have Stan, will move on to Gangs of London next after plenty of recommendations on here..
and then the next season of the witcher should be available in a week or so..
just have to find the time to fit them all in

I liked City on the Hill on Stan. Good performance from Kevin Bacon and some standard Booooston crime drama.

@nepia thanks mate, there is going to be a whole heap of series there to get into and just finding which ne is half the battle

Yep, I'm at a confused point with my streaming trying to find stuff.
Have been bingeing all the Binge shows lately so not really up on Stan (aside from rugby and the latest season of Killing Eve).
If I remember other good Stan shows I'll let you know.

I reckon I could justify the taser if it turned out to be a prank. Would that work on a zombie?

The "World War Z" book (significantly different to the movie) by Max Brooks (son of Mel Brooks) noted incidents of zombies that had been utterly disbelieved by authorities and media.
e.g. in a hospital in ?Cuba? something comes back to life from the morgue and a security guard kills it but is then accused of murder despite autopsy showing unusual activity.
That's the kind of situation you're talking about - either you shoot the guy playing a prank or you shoot a zombie. The outcome might just be the same

Doubtful given that they can generally take multiple bullets to the body. Trauma to the brain is what puts them down for good ( I’m sure I’ve seen that rule mentioned on numerous shows/movies )

Shoot it once to see if it screams, then headshot...

Sounds a fair and efficient way of sorting it to me.

Yeah but then the line gets a bit drawn when there’s people who take drugs like this around……

@antipodean reminds me of the tale I heard about potential witches in Edinburgh. They would tie up the suspects and throw them in water. If they sank and drowned they weren't witches, if they floated and survived they were obviously witches so they were burnt alive. The good old days.

Jeepers that sounds a bit more offensive than what snowflakes gripe about today.

@crazy-horse think the Salem witch trials had many similar things (burning at the stake, if you burnt you weren't a witch)
Watched a series called Smother, set in Ireland, where the father of a blended family is found dead, and everyone is a suspect.
Your typical formula of late in a small community where everyone has secrets, but was decent enough watch.

I'm two episodes into the Amazon show Patriot. I'm actually not sure WTF I'm watching. I'm liking it so far but it appears to be offbeat merely to be offbeat.
Still worthy of persisting with through both seasons IMO. Better than watching master-reno-dating show...
I've got one episode to go in S1 and definitely glad I persisted with it.

The paper, scissors, rock between the detective and John in ep 8 had me in hysterics.
