We often patrol cemeteries at night and I have wondered what I would do if I saw a zombie walking out of the darkness. Surely it wouldn't be real and just someone playing a prank, but what if I was wrong? I think I would probably pretend I didn't see it and keep on driving.
Run it over. Better to be safe than sorry.
I reckon I could justify the taser if it turned out to be a prank. Would that work on a zombie?
Doubtful given that they can generally take multiple bullets to the body. Trauma to the brain is what puts them down for good ( I’m sure I’ve seen that rule mentioned on numerous shows/movies )

Shoot it once to see if it screams, then headshot...

Sounds a fair and efficient way of sorting it to me.

If it does or doesn't?

The "World War Z" book (significantly different to the movie) by Max Brooks (son of Mel Brooks) noted incidents of zombies that had been utterly disbelieved by authorities and media.
e.g. in a hospital in ?Cuba? something comes back to life from the morgue and a security guard kills it but is then accused of murder despite autopsy showing unusual activity.
That's the kind of situation you're talking about - either you shoot the guy playing a prank or you shoot a zombie. The outcome might just be the same
Yeah but then the line gets a bit drawn when there’s people who take drugs like this around……

@antipodean reminds me of the tale I heard about potential witches in Edinburgh. They would tie up the suspects and throw them in water. If they sank and drowned they weren't witches, if they floated and survived they were obviously witches so they were burnt alive. The good old days.

Jeepers that sounds a bit more offensive than what snowflakes gripe about today.

@crazy-horse think the Salem witch trials had many similar things (burning at the stake, if you burnt you weren't a witch)
Watched a series called Smother, set in Ireland, where the father of a blended family is found dead, and everyone is a suspect.
Your typical formula of late in a small community where everyone has secrets, but was decent enough watch.

I'm two episodes into the Amazon show Patriot. I'm actually not sure WTF I'm watching. I'm liking it so far but it appears to be offbeat merely to be offbeat.
Still worthy of persisting with through both seasons IMO. Better than watching master-reno-dating show...
I've got one episode to go in S1 and definitely glad I persisted with it.
:::
The paper, scissors, rock between the detective and John in ep 8 had me in hysterics.

@antipodean So I watched the last episode of S1 and assumed it would wrap up the story, but it's ongoing. Can you let me know if the show actually concludes at end of S2 or if it got cancelled.
I'll be pissed off it ends S2 on a cliffhanger.

I’m a bit late to the party but I’ve started watching the IT Crowd and it’s really good.

Actually Bristol City Council in the UK has a contingency plan for dealing with a Zombie attack. It was revealed after a Freedom of Information request a few years ago.

Watching Series 2 of War of the Worlds (the Anglo-French one with Gabriel Byrne)
Enjoyable so far and takes the story forward in a pretty decent way. Quite bleak in places.

@victor-meldrew meant to be out here as well. Will look it up as I enjoyed season 1
