Given the history of the Kendalls and co in windsurfing/boardsailing over the years, it was surprising to see no NZ competitors in Tokyo this time around.

@machpants I don't understand this reaction. One rider was just very unlucky in this race, while they were ahead. Why would you want their funding cut ?

Off tangent comment maybe. Maybe for the #GOM thread. Maybe just being nostalgic. Maybe uber patriotic.
But just watching 2nd chicks 1500m semi.
Glancing across the screen showing the starters ... just checking if a Kiwi is involved ... scan quickly ... nup, no black singlet.
Then it occurs to me that EVERY other country has to look twice for their colours, as some other country has a strip similar to someone else's.
Love the black singlet.
(Hence #GOM ... where black people, not white ... )
