Always bat first at the Gabba is the tradition. Nassar Hussein infamously got that one wrong in 2002 and saw Australia finish the first day 364/2...
Though when I head about the pitch being green I did wonder if it was going to be an unusually difficult decision - the ghosts of 02 vs the actual state of the pitch...

All of the above, plus he's not always as funny as he thinks. When it's the first hour of the Ashes in 2021, and you're on air claiming you could bowl out Glenn Turner with a soggy tomato, the shark has been well and truly jumped.
