thinking about this, im putting it down to Stormtroopers are just shitter fighters than trained assassin/bounty hunters (whatever these dudes were)
also, cant remember, have we seen the jetpack work since he got it back, for flight. wondering if its still just damaged from RotJ, same reason he couldn't fly out of the sarlac pit
I'm thinking the writers put a lot less thought into these things than fandom

At the moment the writers are the biggest fans. They have been filling plot holes and adding very subtle Easter Eggs. I think we will find it explained.

It might be having issues to be fair and yeah those guys would be way tougher than Stormtroopers. I know six jumped down initially but did more join the fight ? The Gamoreans took out a couple as did Boba and Fennick then more ran off ?
In saying that Boba looked pretty unprepared initially…..
Still, I’m excited as all hell about tonight’s episode.

I'm just going to flush the dunny on that particular fight scene. It was shit all round and hopefully soon forgotten.
The funny thing is that despite his huge popularity, we know sweet fa about BF. We know his background but his motivation, goals etc are completely unknown. Right now he seems too chilled and naive to be a crime boss but hopefully they flesh out his personality more in the coming episodes.

@rancid-schnitzel have you watched clone wars? Quite a bit is fleshed out in that, he basically wants to be the big dog, to surpass his father, also has no love of Jedi for obvious reasons and would happily knock off a few
On paper is pretty clearly a bad guy…but we love him

Seen a few but that's still a couple of decades removed. Maybe his time with the Sand People has changed him?
He was hands down my favourite figure. His popularity is crazy when considering he only got like a minute of screen time.

I have two major issues with this show.
(1) His age. Tem is 61 and looks it and moves like it. Boba would be about 40 at this stage. That's a pretty massive difference.
(2) I just don't see Boba bonding with the sand people. They enslaved him, beat the shit out him, then took him out to the middle of nowhere to find moisture fruit that he wasn't allowed to drink himself. This is the guy who served Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt. After killing that creature he'd escape and then go back and extract revenge. It doesn't make sense for him to bond with them. Maybe he had a previous affinity with them? Mando certainly did. Perhaps there's a history between the Mandalorians and sand people? Otherwise it just goes against all existing knowledge about this guy. -

I also have no doubt he would have been pretty fucked up by being in the pit for as long as he was. His injuries might be permanent.
As for your second point I think perhaps he’s thinking he needs people to help him in his plan to take over Tattooine ?
They’re great warriors ( which makes Obi Wans comment in ANH about the blast points being too accurate for Sand People hilariously untrue but there you go ). Also being humbled in the staff fight would perhaps make him realise he can learn from these guys ? ( again this might be due to his Sarlacc injuries, one would imagine a prime Boba being excellent at all fighting styles )

Is that legit what happened? The Sarlacc pit aged him 20 years?
As to the second, I'm not sure if he was thinking about anything other than survival at that stage. I guess it makes him even more awesome if he was thinking with an eye on future Tatooine domination but that does seem a stretch. While perhaps necessary for providing backstory, I have to say I found the whole Sand People thing rather boring and drawn out. Let's get on with the Hutts and Evil Choowie!

Also he is a clone, ( I know, I know, a pure one who didn’t have the growth acceleration the others did ) but who knows how they age down the line ?
I’m quite enjoying the “Dances with Wolves” style flashbacks but yeah I agree, it’s time to move on with how he deals with the baddies who have emerged. Some nerd talk is that he might join forces with evil Chewie though ? ( apparently they worked together in the past )
I reckon it’s a safe bet the Hutts are both toast though.

i can buy him as a 40 something year old with decent injuries, i honestly think we're only having this conversation because we know the Tem is 60, he might be a bit slower than you would expect but when he stand its straight backed and i think he look powerful, just have to suspend a bit of disbelief and move on

Yeah probably just best to flush the dunny on this episode.

@rancid-schnitzel ....thats not from the episode is it?

I'm so sorry to report that it is.

@rancid-schnitzel i'll still watch it, hard to get any context from a still, loads of stuff in starwars could look stupid in a still
