    @bones @canefan

    Jake has done some dire stuff mixed in with the good. Most of his dreadful stuff is so arty like it’s supposed to be bad except for the very clever people that “get it”.

    So, for no reason at all I'm channel surfing and come across 'Highlander'.

    My god what a terrible movie.

    How:

    1. Did I like this back in the day?
    2. Was this so popular?
    3. Was Christopher Lambert ever considered an actor?

    Funny as fuck to rewatch now.

    To be fair - he did an excellent job of portraying a man disconnected from reality with nothing to make him likeable.

    @booboo I started it a few years ago, realised it had aged terribly so turned it off after 5 or 10 mins so it wouldn't sully my good memories of it.

    Wow. I haven't watched it for over 30 years, and only watched it the once. But, this still be the most upsetting post I've read for a long time.

    Not to mention Sean Connery's Scottish brogue playing an apparently Spanish immortal who went to Japan for a while and brought back a samurai sword

    I think the final nail in the coffin was the sneakers and jeans that Connor wore

    She's sort of a Helene Bonham Carter lookalike. Not as good as I remembered

    I think he's the reason it sucks. Pretty sure he did the CGI.

    I’m currently trying to watch a Netflix film called Last Man Down. The cast is mainly meat-headed scandis or are they Bulgarians? Fuck knows. It promises violence and in this it delivers, however the cut and paste sfx render it all laughable.

    I would like @Kruse to review this as my vocabulary can not do justice to the awfulness of this travesty.
