So no one in UK wanted SRP TV deal, so don;t look for it there. Sanzaar chief executive Brendan Morris is confident of agreeing a broadcast deal in the UK and Ireland markets for the All Blacks series against in July and the Rugby Championship that follows, despite having to pull Super Rugby Pacific out of its bundled offering to pay-TV operators. Super Rugby Pacific will now be shown on a new platform, sanzaarrugby.tv, in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Europe (excluding France), the Middle East, China and India/Sri Lanka, with the Sky-owned RugbyPass platform no longer an option after "challenges” in the past 12 months, Morris said. EDIT: Looks like 50 Squid for the entire season, live and on demand

A good round 1 preview for the season: https://www.flipsnack.com/tahs2015/srp-r1-flipsnack/full-view.html?utm_source=web&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Sanzaar+Round+Preview It outlines the overall Super Rugby win/loss record for each team over the years which I found quite interesting (excluding the Blues). Interesting, I knew NZR was bankrolling MP and Drua - something they def do not talk enough about, should be shouting to the stars. But NZR and generating buzz and positive press do not go toether. But it seems that NZ Govt also backing MP to the tune of 4.5 million Paywalled but In response to a series of Official Information Act requests to government departments, Sport New Zealand this week confirmed to the Herald it provided the $4m underwrite to Moana Pasifika Limited (MPL) and a $500,000 operating grant for the Moana Pasifika Charitable Trust. Sport New Zealand issued that funding via a transfer from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). The underwrite is available for a maximum of four years and includes an initial grant of up to $1m with no requirement to repay, and $3m loan facility. Basically NZ is providing all the money and most of the players for MP, along with over half the players for their national teams. All you'll hear in the interantional press is the handful of Pacific born players in the ABs.

Plans are afoot to bail out of the Super Rugby bubble in Queenstown a week ahead of schedule, with New Zealand Rugby understood to be working through the logistics of returning the six Kiwi teams to their home bases next week.

With the iso requirements, we’re unlikely to get any games from the Blues! Unless they can self source and be allowed to use some RATs.

I took one for the team and watched the Aotearoa Rugby Pod. In summary, Parsons didn't want to put the mockers on the Blues so picked the Chiefs as his smokey. Mainly because of the return of BBBR, and Cane, ALB, Weber and Jacobson. Hall seemed reluctant to talk up his own team so said the Blues were favourites based on winning the last final. We get to the end of the show and Parsons finally does pick the Blues to win the competition while Hall was still non-committal and said one of the Blues, Chiefs and Crusaders. He talks up his fellow halfbacks, so I give him credit for that.
