Thought it was a fun series, too much crossing over which was padding?

They could have done more back story on Boba if they needed storyline surely?

Nice little earner for Tems retirement though I guess!

I've come to the conclusion that it should have been called "The Mandolorian - Book of Boba Fett" as the expectation that it was simply a BF tale didn't pan out.
It really was Mando 2.5 with a poorly managed flow.
Mando needed a gap to re-unite with Grogu and set up Mando 3. It was good that they didn't stretch that out. They took the chance to flesh out what happened to BF before Mando 2 and show what he was then going to do but much was padding.
In other words I get what they were doing but don't think it was done that well. Enjoyed watching it though (as long as I used my child brain)

Yes, “the mandalorian: the book of boba fett “ would have a great call

One the the biggest things I’m worried about with obi wan is another series at least partially set on fucking tattoine

And or at least had the opportunity to be something different, hopefully more on corosant, maybe less western and more spy thriller…will they mail it? Who knows

Yeah this. Enough of the farking desert planets. Done to bloody death.

Ha ! Better stay clear of the Obi Wan show then, I’m sure he stayed there his entire exile !

I think that won’t be the case, unless all the Anakin studs if going to be flashbacks?

Be kind of dull if he doesn’t go some adventures, but I guess that’s a risk of leading people back to Luke?

Be interesting to see what they do.

thats what ive been thinking, i thought id read theyd had scenes together and there is no way anakin would have run into Obi Wan on tatooine

My uninformed feeling is the series will have obi wan trying to look for other jedi to fight back maybe, or at least looking to see if his whole life is gone, and ending having explained why obi wan just ended up hiding keeping a eye on luke form a distance...could be quite a sad series if we end up with obi wan giving up on anything other than protecting Luke

There's been quite a bit written about Kenobi's time on Tatooine but I'm unsure what is canon. Quite a bit ties into similar themes to BoBF with Jabba taxing moisture farmers (which makes a young Luke act and Kenobi protect him) along with the black Wookiee being sent after Kenobi.
That would all be pre BoBF obviously but could be told in short catchups.
There's also stories of the arguments between Lars and Kenobi with Lars adamant that he keep well out of their lives.

I do wonder if they will take the opportunity to live action the Obi-wan v Maul fight and introduce a live version of Ezra before he becomes part of the Ahsoka series.

It's the Vader involvements that are unknown. Does Obi-wan draw Vader away from Tatooine?

kind of what i was wondering about re the maul series, might start telling some of the more key moments from the animated series for those that only watch the live action...i would love the see that very short but IMHO perfect scene in live action

I think this is a pretty fair review.

Interesting his comments about the Mod speeders perhaps being a nod to American Graffitti. I agree that's pretty cool although they still look very out of place.

Great news. John Williams is doing the score for Kenobi.

SW isn't really SW without Williams IMO.

I wouldn’t say that. Rogue One was outstanding without him. No individual is bigger than Star Wars, not even Lucas.

In saying that it’s awesome he’s back though.

That trailer looks a step above Mando/Boba in production values. The Williams score just ties it all back to the movies too.
    Can't wait.

Edit: and for anyone that didn't follow the animated stuff, here is a brief on Inquisitors as it looks like they will play a big part in this story

The Inquisitorius, also known as the Inquisitorius Program, the Order of Inquisitors, and the Imperial Inquisition, was an organization of mysterious, Force-sensitive dark side agents who served the Sith-ruled Galactic Empire. Members of the Inquisitorius were called Imperial Inquisitors, or simply Inquisitors, and were also nicknamed "Red Blades." They were tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi who had survived Order 66 at the end of the Clone Wars as part of the Great Jedi Purge, as well as other political dissidents, and retrieving any children identified as Force-sensitive. The Inquisitors were governed by the Sith Lord Darth Vader, who was the apprentice to the Galactic Emperor, Sheev Palpatine, and led by an individual known only by his title, the Grand Inquisitor.

OK, that looks incredible. I think I’ve watched it ten times already.

I’ve already seen the inquisitors in one of the boys PS4 games, they will be ruthless baddies.

You guys are right there is something about the production that just makes it look more “epic” and grand in scale ( not that Mando/Boba were cheap, but you know )

Yeah I really did not rate Mando, thought it was cheesey as. Boring, really. Not bothered with the Boba one because of that. But this looks much more interesting.

More adult in content and (hopefully) action.

I still loved those shows cos they’re still Star Wars.

Even the Last Jedi had it’s good points.

I think they know they have to get this right, hence potentially a high production value (although i never though mando had a particularly low one), because this connects so directly to the movies...more so that what we saw of Luke in mando/BoBF

We're obviously going to get off tatooine stuff which is good

I am trying to remind myself they always but the good stuff in trailers so not to get my hopes up

As I said earlier I’m interested in how they plan to do that cos I’m fairly sure Obi Wan stayed there the whole time without any jaunts elsewhere.
