Great news. John Williams is doing the score for Kenobi.
SW isn't really SW without Williams IMO.
I wouldn’t say that. Rogue One was outstanding without him. No individual is bigger than Star Wars, not even Lucas.
In saying that it’s awesome he’s back though.

That trailer looks a step above Mando/Boba in production values. The Williams score just ties it all back to the movies too.
Can't wait.Edit: and for anyone that didn't follow the animated stuff, here is a brief on Inquisitors as it looks like they will play a big part in this story
The Inquisitorius, also known as the Inquisitorius Program, the Order of Inquisitors, and the Imperial Inquisition, was an organization of mysterious, Force-sensitive dark side agents who served the Sith-ruled Galactic Empire. Members of the Inquisitorius were called Imperial Inquisitors, or simply Inquisitors, and were also nicknamed "Red Blades." They were tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi who had survived Order 66 at the end of the Clone Wars as part of the Great Jedi Purge, as well as other political dissidents, and retrieving any children identified as Force-sensitive. The Inquisitors were governed by the Sith Lord Darth Vader, who was the apprentice to the Galactic Emperor, Sheev Palpatine, and led by an individual known only by his title, the Grand Inquisitor.

OK, that looks incredible. I think I’ve watched it ten times already.
I’ve already seen the inquisitors in one of the boys PS4 games, they will be ruthless baddies.
You guys are right there is something about the production that just makes it look more “epic” and grand in scale ( not that Mando/Boba were cheap, but you know )

Yeah I really did not rate Mando, thought it was cheesey as. Boring, really. Not bothered with the Boba one because of that. But this looks much more interesting.

I still loved those shows cos they’re still Star Wars.
Even the Last Jedi had it’s good points.

I think they know they have to get this right, hence potentially a high production value (although i never though mando had a particularly low one), because this connects so directly to the movies...more so that what we saw of Luke in mando/BoBF
We're obviously going to get off tatooine stuff which is good
I am trying to remind myself they always but the good stuff in trailers so not to get my hopes up

As I said earlier I’m interested in how they plan to do that cos I’m fairly sure Obi Wan stayed there the whole time without any jaunts elsewhere.
-
@mn5 i think the "legends" might have said that but thats all been decanonized unless its in one of the more recent comics/novels?
in saying that, it looked like we only saw obi wan on tatooine so maybe the off world stuff is side stories?....which would be a mistake, i dont want to see a whole lot of non obi wan stuff in the obi wan series

That does look good although I have major concerns with them effing up the lore, I.e. Vader and OW meeting. Surely they won't do that?
It would also be farking cool if Boba Fett was involved somehow. The tough ruthless Boba Fett not the clueless tool we just saw.
-
@rancid-schnitzel we do need to ignore any "lore" pre disney taking over, that's all decanonized and have already gone in very different directions with the sequels etc

Could do. I can't see how that would retcon anything

It won’t happen. Them meeting on the Death Star was the first time they’d met in 20 years.
I also doubt we’ll see Fett in any shape or form given he’d be pretty young, I think the bounty hunting side of things will be taken care of by the Inquisitors.

I'm talking about lore in the films not the EU or anything else Disney just chucked in the rubbish. The distinct impression given in ANH is that DV hadn't seen OW since he dismembered him. How do they get around that?

I hope they don't but who knows with this lot.
How old is Luke in the trailer? 7-8 maybe. Fett would be young but not too young. I wonder if the series will take place over a short period or years
