@rancid-schnitzel i guess i see it the other way...they dont say specifically when the last time they saw each other is

The more i think about it...i think it would be better if they have a meeting to explain why vader is so casual and why obi wan has completely given up on him

I’m inclined to think their first meeting since Mustafar was on the Death Star purely because of Vader saying he was the learner, now he’s the master.

Then again some Lucas rewrites do fuck up the continuity ( Leia saying she remembers her mother being a massive Clanger )

Didn't they change the dialogue in Jedi for that? Pretty sure they did. Yeah Lucas desperately needed a continuity guy like Game of Thrones Martin. He was no Tolkien that's for sure. That prick had farking languages and everything.

Um, A Song of Ice and Fire is actually pretty good, considering its scope. Or are you talking about the TV series? In addition Tolkien's works have heaps of contradictions, as he was changing it all the time, and never actually had most of it published. History of Middle Earth is just compiled personally notes!

That blaster look familiar at 1:23?

Show is apparently set at 9BBY so Luke would be 10 and this would be around the same time as the end of Solo (the movie).

Um. That was my point. He has a dedicated continuity guy. It's insanely detailed.

The point with Tolkien was that he put stupid amounts of time and effort into this stuff (perhaps too much). Lucas on the other hand had the very bare bones and just made it up as he went.

That's a really good question. He was already known as Darth Vader before becoming a machine but not for long.

Only a few hours all up I reckon depending how long a flight from Corusant to Mustafa takes.

Anyone who referred to him as Lord Vader when he still looked normal got instantly diced up.

    @rancid-schnitzel

yeah, he pretty much goes from the palps to the temple to mustafar? so the clones that were with him at the temple plus whoever helped palps resuce him are the only ones that would have known the human Darth Vader...that was a lot of clones but a lot would have died fighting the jedi

At what, milking it's fan base with shit like the prequel trilogy? At least Tolkien fans didn't buy into the shit that was the Hobbit unlike Star Wars 1-3 😉

as i say i get it and that does make sense, i just dont think its anymore concrete one way or the other and i wont consider it a fuck up if we do get a meet

Hell, it could be cool if we get basically a version of the ahsoka v vader fight from rebels for those that only watch the movies..."Anakin?......" and a look of realisation on obi wans face

Obi Wan would have to be living isolated in a cave on a desert planet not to know that Anakin had become Darth Vader😜

Or have dementia and forget the holocron of him kneeling before Palpatine saying arise Lord Vader that he watched in Episode 3.

As for everbody else, the recent comics (and recent books if memory serves) have it as a secret that he was Anakin.

Yeah he was technically “Darth Vader” as a normal bloke ( missing one limb as opposed to several and not needing the suit ) so there is that !
