They left out his best movie which is undoubtedly Pulp Fiction.
Pulp was great. But are you forgetting a certain Die Hard movie?

Don't get me wrong, it's one of my favourite movies. And Bruce was great. Right up there with his Dad's watch on the little kangaroo
Yeah it’s the best movie he’s “been in” as opposed to “starred in” given JT and SLJ were in it more. I loved Bruces character even if he was doing nothing else but being Bruce.
Then again Tarantinos knack for bringing out the best in actors is freakish.
Die Hard is great fun but possibly a tad overrated given I don’t unconditionally love it as much as others seem to.

Die Hard is awesome. Brilliant movie on many levels (action, comedy, romance, Christmas!) . But it's a standard genre done great.
Pulp Fiction was ground breaking. I remember walking out of it at Uni and thinking "what the fuck did I just watch?". Multiple rewatches followed, and it gets better the more you watch it.
Absolute classic movie, up there with The Matrix.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many imitators, has to be said that Guy Ritchie did a fucken good job with Lock Stock and Snatch though. Some of the others were very try hard and embarrassing.

Robert De Niros best movie.
Al Pacino best movie.
Val Kilmers best movie ( ok maybe this isn’t saying as much )
Everyone else’s best movie too.
Just awesome in every single way, sooooooo good to watch every now and again. Compelling characters, tight direction, awesome action……it’s really got everything.
What a flick. Hard to believe its getting on 30 odd years.

I always thought Willis was a terrific actor who was just great to watch on the screen and really underrated for his acting skills. Incredibly versatile too.

Legend (the one about the Kray Twins) was in that genre - but based on a true story. Epic film.

I would say could sometimes be a good actor, but for each really good performance there would be another 3 that we’re basically him playing his Bruno persona. Don’t get me wrong, some of those were still good films but not necessarily him being a great actor. Might be considered heresy on here but I’d put the Die Hard films in that category.
Then there is his latter output…

I would say could sometimes be a good actor, but for each really good performance there would be another 3 that we’re basically him playing his Bruno persona. Don’t get me wrong, some of those were still good films but not necessarily him being a great actor. Might be considered heresy on here but I’d put the Die Hard films in that category.

Fair points. He allowed himself to let himself become rather stereotyped, but he still was a bloody fine actor and when he stretched himself in films like Moonrise Kingdom, 12 Monkeys and Sixth Sense, showed what he could do and cut it with the best of them. Huge range too.
Now I know about his medical condition, I can forgive his recent film crapola a little.

Not for me. The dude was the star of the best movie as all time. As much as I love Heat it's not The Godfather level for me.

I haven't seen Moonrise Kingdom but really enjoyed the other two. I watched 12 Monkeys with some trepidation as at the time I was a bit tired of Bruce's wise-cracking persona and also thought Brad Pitt was a bit of a lightweight. However, great film.
Yeah his condition explains much but to give him a complete pass you'd need to see a diagnosis going back a good few years!

And Godfather II, Casino, Goodfellas, Midnight Run, Cape Fear, Deer Hunter, Taxi Driver, King of Comedy, Raging Bull, Bang The Drum Slowly all better for De Niro
