Fairly confident the final will be contested between the two teams starting with 'B' however home advantage will be key, I could potentially see the Brumbies pipping Blues in a close one if they're forced to travel to Canberra, McKellar's record at GIO stadium (and also against the NZ franchises) is impressive. Superior to any Aussie coach's record versus Kiwi teams since McKenzie & White.

Call it arrogant if you will but I am not too concerned about NZ team performances over the last two weeks.
We were deep into the comp after a diet of brutal derbies, Covid shuffles and short turnarounds with many niggles and injuries. The convict teams needed those home wins more than we did in many cases. What we needed was as many table points as we could muster while getting ready for the latter part of the RR and the finals.
I think that the foot was slightly off the gas in many cases, saving fuel for the late laps. -

Ray Nu'u gets 4 weeks.On the news last night it was mentioned that Barrett is the latest to get a 1 week reduction.

For completeness, because it's not mentioned in the article. Samipeni Finau was issued a warning.

and additional evidence, including from the player and submissions from his legal representative,
Aaron Lloyd, the Foul Play Review Committee found the foul play did not breach the red card
threshold."
"With respect to sanction the Foul Play Review Committee deemed the act of foul play merited aWarning as it was close to, but did not breach the red card threshold. The Foul Play Review
Committee deemed that the significant mitigating factors, including the tackler having lowered his
body height to effect the tackle, mitigated the sanction to a Warning."
"The player is therefore free to resume playing.” -

"The player is therefore free to resume playing.”So basically Jacobson was correct in querying the ref who had placed way to much emphasis on irrelevant factors. Saying that Finau’s situation was more dangerous than the earlier game decision because he (legally) came out of the defensive line was ridiculous.
The refs have well prescribed guidelines for mitigating and exacerbating factors and doing your job is not in either. -
I don't know if the coaching are worse overall than in the past or not. But Holland seems to be struggling big time but Canes have had poor head coaches in the fairly recent past. And starting out. Boyd was VG but in part he was lucky to have Plumtree as an assistant.

@Winger i don't completely disagree, we put players in too early...just because Lomu could play with men doesn't make everyone lomu and NZR is becoming more and more a closed shop, in every aspect, coaching, players, everything and everyone already in that shop talking up everyone else

Rugby is a fickle business. Painful and unfair things happen to us all and it’s okay to feel sad or frustrated because it shows you care.
When a situation continues to be detrimental to your mental health and well-being, you have to find the courage to get out - even if it means reviewing your dreams and starting from the ground up again. I am grateful to the boys who have come to war with me off the field and kept me going
I am excited about the challenge of the next chapter. My body is healthy. My mind is at peace. I got an awesome family. What more do I need

The Chiefs have played the 3 best Aust teams to date so as long as they win their remaining 3 games should secure 4th position and a home QF. That said, their away record is much better than their home record this season.
It looks increasingly likely that Kiwi teams are going to end up occupying positions 1-2 & 4-6, this assuming Reds/Brumbies lose to both the Crusaders & Blues in their remaining fixtures.

Yeah a lot of water under the Bridge before that happens.
Crusaders have to beat the Brumbies in Canberra so do the Blues.
Canes have to beat the Warratahs in Sydney all tough games.
