Super

This is a little film with Rainn Wilson (US version of The Office) and the delightful Ellen Page.

It was kind of shit at parts, showing its production values, but overall I thought it was a great look into the mind of a guy who is a social numpty and finally just has enough of taking shit. Page was just a fucking psycho.

Easy to see why they had trouble getting money and/or distribution help with this one, but I thought it was OK. They had no trouble getting a few names together, and it was shot in about a month I believe? Not a bad effort. Certainly has the ability to be a bit cult.

3 Kevin Bacons out of 5.

Directed by James Gunn and I assume helped him land the Guardians of the Galaxy - so has a bit of pedigree.

Now You See Me 2: Crazily plotted but watchable. A Woody Harrelson, Jesse Esineberg and Dave Franco out of Four Horseman and Mark Ruffalo.

Haha = that's a crack up - although it's a bit of an effort to try to figure it out from that link at first.

In slightly related movie news apparently Alicia Vikander was 10 pin bowling in Darling Harbour on Monday. I walk through Darling Harbour every lunchtime. That Michael Fassbender is lucky I only found this out today as he may have found his lunch cut. ;)

Collateral: By far the best of the three. Tom was actually quite a good villain, and Jamie Foxx bounced off him well. Decent plot too.

That was the first movie where I actually thought Tom could act. His portrayal of Vincent was excellent.

Crocodile Dundee 2. Not as good as the original, but still had quite a few laughs and just an awesome 80's ness about it that make it totally worth a watch.

The "if Mick wants his clothes back" scene still makes me laugh.

Took itself a bit more seriously than the first one but still some great humour. Probably worth another watch now I think about it. I remember my Mums Womans Weeklys had stories of how Hogan dumped his wife for the chick he starred with, talk about an upgrade haha

I always snickered at the bit where Mick cooks breakfast, drops it on the floor, then the asshole cop shoves another out of the way and starts eating it.

Also, back in Oz: Are you enjoying that? Nah, needs garlic.

Was a decent watch, 6.5 Afghans out of 10.

Late to the party on this one. Watched the Big Short last night. Great movie and Christian Bale, Steve Carrell and the rest of the cast were brilliant

Al Pacino reached this point a few years ago. Hard to believe the dude who was Michael Corleone and Tony Montana and Lt Col Frank Slade could also star in Jack and Jill.

Trophy Kids

A documentary on Netflix. If you have kids who love sport you should probably watch it. Its about parents that really shouldn't be.

The Losers

Movie based on a comic book about some black ops guys being lined up for the chop by Jason Patric after they grow a conscience in the middle of the Bolivian jungle.

The guy who played The Comedian in Watchmen is the lead, Captain America guy is in it, along with Idris Elba playing a yank hard nut, and Zoe Saldana gives partial boobage and a fair bit of tail.

Watchable, glad it was on Netflix for free. Some of the comedic stuff was alright, particularly the "telekinesis" in the lift lobby of the huge corporation.

2.5 Jason Patrics out of 5
