I don't think Jaime Ridge is as revolting as her Mum who despite on one level being an attractive blond is about as sexy as Helen Clarke. Something about her is truly repulsive.

Agreed. I might be giving her too much credit but she doesn't seem to seek the limelight, rather gets pulled along by her shamelessly attention-seeking mum

I don't understand the point of this story. What does the writer hope to achieve?

ooh, I know. Ban the pies! In fact ban everything that could hurt anyone. Just don't ask the Mum if she touched the pie to see if it was maybe too hot for a six year old to be trusted with. Or whether the concept of hot pies was new to her and she had no way of knowing that they would in fact be hot. And definitely don't ask her what sort of compensation for her own fucking stupidity she expected Pak n Save to offer. A couple of grand? A book on healthy eating options for six year olds? A voucher for a parenting course? Her own cop to follow her round reminding her to always blow on the pie? FFS.

"Internal investigation".....fucken hell, give me strength.............

The family should be pleased it wasn't frozen in the middle, no better way to ruin a day than to ho into a servo pie and experience that by which stage you've usually driven to far to be fucked going back to complain. Driving an auto definitely makes eating pies easier when on the road, vacuuming the pastry up afterwards is arduous though.

Like most on here I'm a Dad and I'd be pretty concerned if my boys got burns on their bare pins.....but if that did happen my first inclination would be to ask myself if I'd actually checked, not bitch to the media and try and deflect any and all blame from myself.

Kids do dumb shit and get hurt. Fact. Shall we try to ban concrete on footpaths next ?

Is it churlish of me to point out that the last thing that family needs is pies and perhaps carrots and apples are better suggestions ?

those 3am pies are always hot, wake up the following morning with a burnt mouth cos you are drunk and too impatient to wait for it to cool down!

Maybe petrol stations need to have a warning sign up, although being drunk you probably wouldn't read it, maybe they need a verbatim warning read for every pie sold to an intoxicated person?

Pies are dangerous!

True. Sally Ridge has done nothing but trade on her ex husband's name. (And her ex-partner's name for that matter.)

And there was the whole gross triangle thing with Nicky Watson. Can't remember which of them cheated with the others husband. But it got the two of them some WD mag mileage after the fact. (Nicky Watson is another one I can't stand.)

It's ok NQ don't panic, she got a day out at the zoo with a hamper as well.

After the trauma of the pie experience they can take comfort in the knowledge nothing bad ever happens at zoos.

So it seems the only option is to cool the pies down and give everyone food poisoning instead. Much less dangerous than burns.
