Worth a mention for the kids names and the fact that Maverick has a mud flap that Joe Dirt would be proud of

    Natural selection.

As expected other munter/bogan/shithead/ferals are coming out saying he wasn’t “armed” seemingly oblivious to the fact that a car is a deadly weapon in the hands of a lunatic.

@MN5 You do realise he was on foot when he was shot?

Clearly this guy was no angel and his actions contributed to his death but on the evidence presented thus far I would say the cops involved possibly panicked and definitely over-reacted.

Evidence being he sped through a police check and rammed a cop car munting his own vehicle in the process. He then got out and tried to commandeer other vehicles waiting at the checkpoint.

The police say he was on foot and unarmed. I'm sure it was terrifying for those in the cars but there were cops in attendance, the public were inside their cars the bogan was outside the cars. Shooting him dead seems ... overkill.

    No, I wasn’t there.

…..and yep to be fair I’m definitely judging him on name, appearance and what I’ve read.

If there was any wrongdoing on the part of the Police I’ve got no doubt we’ll hear all about it and they’ll be hauled over the coals but on the basis of probabilities and given none have been found guilty in 40 fatal shootings since 1990 you’d imagine they had no choice but to do what they did.

@MN5 Don't get me wrong Police have an incredibly difficult job which is getting harder all the time with the rise in gun crime. Plus this guy was clearly a bad 'un but The Police themselves have said he was on foot and carried no weapon.

I thought shooting was a last resort by the Police when their own or someone else's lives were in imminent danger. on the face of it, this scenario doesn't appear to reach that threshold.

The fact that no police have been found guilty doesn't mean jack for this case. Plus it doesn't mean all 40 deaths were unavoidable either.

Completely, which makes me pleased I didn’t end up becoming one. I much prefer having more money and considerably less stress ( less excitement as well but I can cope with that )

If some guy is trying to go all GTA on someone in a car and all other avenues have been exhausted then perhaps shooting is the only option ? I’m sure it will all come out in the wash and more and more ferals will say what a “great guy” he was and call for the Police to be accountable.

A fucken messy situation for all involved.

Horrible story in the news today about some bogan scrubber who has been jailed for four years for causing the death of her two kids through drink driving.

Why am I posting it in this thread? The poor lad’s name was Smaller. Fucking Smaller. And you wanna know what? He was as fat as a very fat thing. Poor kid.

    Parents can be fluffybunnies.

Kiwi Bogans obviously put way more thinking and imagination into naming their kids than their Chav equivalents in the UK - where they're all called Chardonnay or Wayne.

My eyes were opened by a girl band member many years ago. I imagined the parents conversion
    'what shall we call her?'
'i really like Shazza, or maybe Shaz'
' not very classy love, and we are so classy in our matching adydaz tracksuits'
'French is classy, like the wine Chardonnay'
    'mmmm'
'I've got it! Shaznay, now that's well fucking classy'

Saw someone commenting on a friend's Facebook post, and this person was talking about their boy named Roczen. A new one to me.

My first thought, that it's like a bogan's interpretation of the Yin-Yang principle.
    Rock! Zen.
    Roczen.
