While the latest Bracewell is making his debut, it looks like the next-generation Pringle is going to follow the Netherlands representative path instead: Cadets Facebook post, and Cricinfo: Tom Cooper to make Netherlands comeback in England ODI series. Shane Snater and Chris Pringle's son Tim both named in provisional 18-man squad

(Interestingly, Pringle played for an NZXI v Netherlands earlier this year)

Isn't there some rule that if you play for a minnow it doesn't rule you out playing for another nation? Like Chapman playing for Hong Kong (?) and then the Black Caps a short time later.

Game has the look of being a high scoring draw at this rate.

Such a shame we don't have anyone in the squad who is famed for making things happen in unhelpful conditions

England keep up this scoring rate, they’ll only be 100 behind by the close of play. Batting looks way too easy out there. Root has all the shots

Maybe not a draw after all at this rate, given we can’t take wickets or restrict the run rate…

Of note overnight, Rachin Ravindra is 178* after opening the batting on his county debut for Durham v Worcestershire

It's just insane leaving one of our best ever out of the side so regularly. What the hell are they thinking?

    They're clearly not.

First India, now they sit him in England. My mate in Aussie can't work out why he isn't in the side. Fucken nuts

Went to a birthday party that started on Saturday arvo & went through to 4am, so was completely knackered for the remainder of Sunday🙂 ... just catching up with the sport now.

Not one of our top 4 got to 50 - yet again it was Mitchell & Blundell that got us out of trouble... Bracewell has performed well in his 1st test.
Our top 4 need a kick up the arse, have to look at the way Mitchell & Blundell are batting, with good patience & the right shot selections.

Definitely having a down game. Hopefully we don't bowl the Poms out only to collapse

Young playing away from his body, looking every bit like a walking wicket

With Jamieson out injured, will we even try to set them much of a target here? Or do we just bat till lunch/tea tomorrow to make the game safe? Not ideal when down 0-1 in a 3 match series. Hopefully Bracewell gets a lot of 4th innings overs and is the difference?

@TeWaio what sort of target? Because our scoring rate right now suggests not too many…

@ACT-Crusader 300 lead by close tonight would be 4.4 RPO from here. Then 3 sessions tomorrow to roll them? Maybe that's not enough runs, but with BMac in charge I bet England would give it a good go.

Not sure how to look up biggest totals chased down at Trent Bridge on Cricinfo..

No chance. Final 3 wickets for 20 max then poms to clean up early after tea.

Only we could score 550 odd and lose.

So Latham now with scores of 1, 14, 26, and 4 so far in the series.

I wonder if Jamieson will bat tonight if needed.
