Harmon, Dickson, Z. Sullivan - my top 3

    Grace also very good.

Weber, Grace, Ioane probably the next best.

    What the actual fuck?

Have to give Barnes some credit for how entertaining this game has been. Has been an obvious big step up from the twats we’ve been used to the last few months.
    Boy came good (eventually)

I'll grant you he's a good couple of steps above most of the SR refs. But then so is Helen Keller. Barnes' strength is he's a very good communicator.

@Machpants Weber actually had us moving forward and got the ball out quicker than I expect from him.

Isn’t it great to have midweek rugby like the old days

And even though the Irish got a tukituki, it'll help their depth

Farrell looks like he's on the shitter and can't flush quick enough.

That’s where Owen got that look from

Shame MAB scoreless in 2nd half. Ireland didn't appear like the pace of the game much in the first 40mins

I totally disagree, he was a handbrake. TJ was a noticeable improvement when he came on. Weber was so slow

Well that was a lot of fun. Maori deserved winners on the back of some exciting long range attack, and a couple of good goal line stands. With goal kicking it's a belting

Gee the Sullivan boys aren't bad. Ioane had some nice touches. Loved the aggression of Grace and Harmon.

Ireland won't be too dispirited. They created a shit ton of line breaks. It took the Maori 74 minutes to work out that pattern FFS. They've been reminded how lethal NZ teams are in open spaces. Their defence held up pretty well in the phase play. But I still think this Rams home how much they lack talent out wide to turn their opportunities in to points.

I was interested that it was Ireland getting hammered at ruck time by a NH ref. I've been told our ruck execution down here is all bullshit and won't stand up in the NH.

I hope Healy is okay he's a fucking warrior

Probably not. Reserve at best. They have good midfielders though.

the Maori set piece held up well.

Love the shape and connection of the Irish defence though, holds up well for several phases, but seems to struggle with the deeper stuff, in contrast our defence looks unstructured and disorganised at times, plenty of gaps for the Irish to make huge yards off.
