And then the river came right up - and quickly! The growing issue in my part of NW Sydney is urbanisation; all the feeder creeks are getting hammered because pasture land is being eaten away by paved surfaces and drainage. The outcome is faster water egress to channels. Have a look at various parts of the area immediately south of Windsor, where the river is flooding and badly:

If I may whinge ... a 14 deg high with rain and drizzle all day is NOT what I signed on to when I shifted here.
I got drenched yesterday on my walk home from work. Completely drenched like I was living back in Palmy again. WFH today.
It's not really that cold though, just wet.

A friend of mine, from Brisbane, never been to Canberra, just took a govt job down there. Her first time visiting will be when she gooes down to check out apartments.

yep hasn't been that cold, but it has only stopped pissing down a few hours ago..thankfully no flooding for me

12 years mate of being a sweaty bastard.
Worst part about HK was not so much it being 35 snd humid during the day. More it only dropped to 32 at night.

Hope any ferners and family in the Ta$man region and West Coast are all good, looking pretty awful down there!

And to make matters worse there's a near guarantee of another year of La Nina and negative Indian dipole. Only problem of course is there's nowhere for the water to go., The ground is sodden.
