Ryan for Feek would be a head scratcher. Isn't Ryan contracted elsewhere for RWC? If Plumtree was leaving it would be more logical. But the rumour is to replace a scrum specialist.
And interesting if Leon is added to AB's coaches after getting NZ XV appointment. Aren't they playing at the same time in different places? Blues might be asking questions if this is true.
Did anyone else think it odd recruiting Razor to coach against All Black XV before AB XV coach was named? I wonder who will select the Baabaas and who will play for them?
Sounds like some complicated issues around coach appointments moving forward if the twitter stuff all ends up true this time.
Seems as if Plumtree and McLeod were central to Foster appointment. So replacement of either undermines foundation.
Mooar/Feek doesnt really get to central issues, but buys more time for results.

@booboo Hold on, hold on. I thought I read on here that MacDonald was taking the AB XV. Going back now I can't find it. Another rumor? Sounds too sensible from the NZR to be true.....

@Old-Samurai-Jack I think it was mentioned in a Ferald article but there has been no official announcement, so only a rumour at this stage.

Stuff understands MacDonald will take charge of the All Blacks XV tour later this year, when those who miss out on All Blacks selection will be given the chance to impress in the northern hemisphere. -

Didn't one dude say it on Twitter? It wasn't even a "well-connected" journalist this time. All we know for sure is that Foster is in charge of ABs, MacDonald is taking the AB XV to Europe, and Razor isn't even in the frame. Foster said some changes were coming but that could be anything from a change in his breakfast menu to a reshuffle of duties by the existing coaches.
Razor was offered the All Blacks VX apparently, but seem coaching the Baabaas maybe worth a bit more coin?

@Victor-Meldrew There has been more than enough time to see if this works. It doesn't. Minimal progress in ABs since 2016.
The time to change is before the EOYT. -

Is test Frizzell a different beast to Super R. Frizzell? The latter sounds great!

I'm not as down on Frizzell as others. When first selected he was a joke, not even starting for the Highlanders - just a silly coach looking to pull a rabbit out of the hat when we could have had Luatua - hardly Frizzell's fault being selected though.
The last two years his super form has justified AB selection, he's been a real standout in a poor side. Maybe another year of ABs and he starts to stand out at the higher level too. Maybe not too of course, but I think his form is equal or better to others mentioned. -
