@Steve Very accurate indeed, clearly a lot of Bok Bias but I don't disagree with anything they are saying. Funny how they mentioned the best NZ scrummager is playing NPC this weekend and his name is Franks.

Which prop was getting schooled by Bell at the Tahs vs Hurricanes this year and Franks came on and completely changed the outcome of the scrums.

I’ve been watching the ABs since 87. This is the very first time I have us as firm underdogs.
The selecting is hopeless at the moment. We keep making changes on the fringes, liking dropping Reece or rotating props, and refuse to make the calls that matter.
Its also the very first time I almost hope we lose, so this nightmare can be over.
@Billy-Tell yeah I realized that the last 2 weeks is the first time I've ever posted in a pick the score thread that we'll lose. And I had no second thoughts either! Suck times.

AT got pinged scrum after scrum from my memory. Lomax got pinged first scrum in. I think we got one back but we were going backwards nearly every scrum.

@mariner4life ima say it again, but one penalty was for knee on the ground and walking around. Sorry Gus, but pick one - combining those two makes me think you're making it up. If you're on your knee, you're not going to be fucking walking around.

"i know, lets get Owen Franks back"@mariner4life yeah the scrum isnt the attacking platform it used to be, I think if you can hold your seide up and not concede penalties, but do the business around the park, you are much more valuable...not to mention, if you dont make so many errors you give the opposition less scrum feeds too.
Last match SA had 10 scrum feeds, we had 5, and were 32 lineouts (16 each) so to pick someone who is there solely to be a good scrummager, especially when they offer so little around the park seems a bit silly (although I guess if you look at some of the numbers of our props in recent matches, maybe not...)

I think the fact the two starting props were dropped might suggest some issues, or maybe it was breakdown related. The props from NZ were penalised 5 times in the game, not sure how many related to the scrum but at least 3 from memory.

That probably suggests we have a problem with props in NZ at the moment?
The other interesting thing they mentioned was NZ has twice the number of yellow and red cards as their opposition. We bucked the trend last weekend for sure but that is a worry.
