Confess Fletch. The reboot of the Fletch movie series from the 80's with Chevy Chase. Now set in the 2020's staring John Hamm who is perfect in the role. Comedy/mystery with a good plot and lots of laughs. Some great one-liners "maybe someday I will understand sex from behind"

UNOBTANIUM!!! 😹 I forgot thats what they called it

seen it 1.5 times, couldn't make it through a second time, the CGI was impressive but as someone who plays +20 year old video games if they have a good plot...there is only so long i can watch an add for a computer or TV...in hind site it reminds me of those videos they play in appliance shops to show how good their tvs are

will watch the new one when it turns up on a streaming service

Yes, this was the first time I've ever seen Avatar.

So it seems I've held out longer. Nothing about it made me want to watch it.

Yeah, I think I only went out of FOMO. I clearly wasn't interested enough to go see it back in 2009.

Yes. No point watching it on the small screen at home in 2D. Was half price Tuesday so didn't break the bank.

Like @voodoo I also saw it in 3D back on release. From the review I read the updated 3D version is a big improvement.

anyone who watched it in cinemas when it first came out and didn't think it was one of the most visually amazing things they had seen is a lying piece of shit.

Watching it on TV some 13 years later and judging it is not giving the film its fair due.

will i go see the 2nd one? i will absolutely not.

yeah agree with this, couldn't imagine wanting to view it now. However at the time I could appreciate (and wowed at the world that was created), even if I wasn't sold on the story. Even Cameron couldn't make Worthington more real in a CGI role lol

Would I watch the second..yes because I tend to watch a lot of shit, would I pay to see it, hell no

@bayimports will be very interesting how id does at the box office, different world

there will obviously be load of people that loved the story and have been waiting for the sequel, but i feel there will be less people that will go just see the amazing special effects, and maybe some that are just over it after waiting so long

I'm less likely to go see the sequels than I was right when the movie finished as the footage from the new one wasn't very good. But then it could be like Into The Spider-verse, I saw footage of it and it looked average and it turned into one of my favourite movies that year.

I assume the first sequel will do pretty massive business and then will follow the Star Wars model of the next two only doing big business, not sure what happens with all the subsequent sequels.

I’ve never seen Avatar. The other half got free movie tickets for her birthday. Given the dearth of good quality flicks coming out I’ll suggest we go to that.

Sorry, are you thinking avatar will be anything but cringey arse? Go in with that thought, and at least you won't be disappointed.

Just because he got his dick sucked and put his tail in a blue horses' vagina, that doesn't stop him being human.

Don't think I've spit my muesli out so much since someone (forget who) said Clive Woodward was the sort of bloke who kept a freezer full of woman's feet in his garage.

I'm not a lying piece of shit and that's exactly what I thought. I didn't think the animation etc was much of a step above the likes of Shrek etc.

I do acknowledge though that due to my various eyesight impairments, I've always struggled with 3D glasses which may have impacted it.

And yes, the story is piss weak.

@MajorRage it did occur to me at the time its "easier" for movies like avatar as almost nothing they are CGI'ing has a real world counterpart...you know what i mean?...there aren't floating mountains in the real world for people to compare too and go..."that dont look real!"....of course it doesn't...its a floating mountain....so yeah...much closer to a fully animated film....slightly more than shrek....but i agree with the main point
