@bayimports yeah liked it too.
Some great characters too...
@Machpants yeah I know most of these things are embellished for entertainment, but I gather most of the events occurred.

Yeah crazy stuff. Absolute nutters, like the LRDG (mostly kiwis) made it up as they went along, stole shit to get their gear, and in terms of degradation of enemy war making capability man for man nothing came close in the desert. Not anywhere near as effective in other theatres

The English is great.
Yeah I’ve just started watching this and agree. Have just finished the latest Jack Ryan series (S3) as well (v good); interesting that John Krasinki shows a different emotion to killing as Jack Ryan, than his wife does in The English.

1899 on Netflix
Started off quite well, but sorta stalled mid-season and meandered a bit, didnt quite hit the mark for me.
I've just finished watching this myself. Based on my experience with Dark I was anticipating plenty of twists and confusion. I certainly wasn't expecting that ending. There are plenty of questions still to be answered in S2.

Nope...been canned.
The Cleaner (S1) - quirky dark comedy about a guy who is a crime scene cleaner.
Some really funny shit.

@taniwharugby Yeah, I read that. Netflix are a joke. It was them who approached the creators after the success of Dark. I'll watch what's on my list and then cancel. Quantity over quality.

@RoninWC it has Jessica Brown-Findlay, so I'm sold!
She's the one from Brave New World right?
Pity it's on Paramount+ though.

Yes, that's correct, she was the lead actress in Brave New World which I haven't watched yet but is on the list.
She's very quirky hot in this and there's a fair number of scenes in just bra and panties but tit-watch is a zero unfortunately.

She's pretty hot in Brave New World but the actress who played her best friend was hotter.

Speaking of Netflix.
Treason
Starring Charlie Cox (minus the cane and glasses) and Olga Kurylenko. An enjoyable 5-part spy thriller that doesn't tread any new ground but has enough twists and tension to be a good watch. The Witcher: Blood Origin
A big turd. Only 4 episodes so I didn't waste too much of my life. The Witcher is dead anyway now that Henry Cavill has walked away. Netflix can cancel that shit! -
Just watched "troubled blood" latest release here anyway for C.B Strike.
Great P.I series, even the side characters add value.

SAS Rogue Heroes. BBC 6 episodes. The story of how David Stirling formed the SAS during the Nth Africa Campaign in WW2.
Made by the guys who did Peaky Blinders.
Very entertaining. Good soundtrack. Well cast. 4.5 tonnes of sand in my orifice out of 5 don’t fuck with me’s
Finally got to see this. It's well cast, beautifully shot and as you say; very entertaining.
