Arsenal showing no signs of missing Jesus yet but tougher challenges than West Ham await. In the finest Arsenal traditions I see they've low balled Shaktar for Mudryk.

Fulham did George Cohen proud with win at Palace.

Should be a great atmosphere for his memorial game when Southampton visit

My my. Man City are held to a draw at Everton and Arsenal win a slightly frantic 4-2 over Brighton to go 7 clear.

Arsenal's next 6 league games include Newcastle, Tottenham and both Manchester's, with the City game at the end of that run. It's a brutal stretch and one that will define whether or not they're serious title contenders. I could see them losing all 6 I can see them winning all 6, anything seems possible right now.

I think regardless of results City remain the favourite and that won't change unless arsenal keep at least there current lead and win that City game.

Looks like it will be a tight title race between Arsenal and Man City this year.

Arsenal-BHA was a good game to watch. That was a big 3 pts because Brighton has been a bogey team in recent seasons.

The January transfer period will be crucial for Arsenal to strengthen the squad.

Are Fulham nearly safe from relegation even if they lose their next 20 games? And given they have Chelsea at home next (certain home win) 31 points could be enough.

If teams below them keep up this points per game ratio.

              Southampton finish with 25/26
              Wolves finish with 29/30
              Everton/West Ham with 31/32.

              Who will be sacked first?
              Lampard?
              Moyes?
              Marsch?
              Rodgers?
              Potter?
              Jones?

                @KiwiPie brutal league

7 months ago Moyes was lauded for getting West Ham in to Europe by finishing 7th with 56 points

Now he's probably next out the door with almost as many losses as last season already after only 18 games

Surely Fat Frank is next though. And with him the practice of parachuting famous retired players in to managerial roles in top levels. Lampard and Stevie G have been fucking terrible. Just "knowing the game" is not enough

The weird thing about Gerrard is that he seemed to have been doing a genuinely good job with Rangers before he went south to Villa. Lots of talk about him doing an apprenticeship at Villa before moving to Liverpool whenever Klopp gets bored. But he's just pancaked.

Won't change hiring though. Coaching appointments have a massive networking element and retired players who spent time at elite clubs have a massive headstart over everyone else in that respect.

But then heads dropped and carried that into Sunday.

Arteta showing the benefits of being given time. Potter will do the same if he gets it. He probably won’t tho.

Moyes will survive, West Ham don’t look bad. Frank won’t, Everton do look bad.

Most worrying thing this weekend is all the talk of United’s chanting to Frank. Calling him a rent boy & this seemingly now being illegal.

                        Illegal? You fucking what?!!

That was pretty awful - when Wilson and Izak are both fit, he's going to get splinters for the rest of the season.

Football talk now is that Mick Beale (Gerrard's assistant at Rangers and then Villa) was the one with the plan. Beale took over at QPR at the start of the season, Wolves offered him their job after they sacked Bruno but he said he was loyal to QPR - and then took the Rangers job at the end of November.

Still got the example of Blackpool in 2010-11. 9th after 20 games but finished 19th.

Our next 4 matches are Chelsea, Newcastle, Chelsea, Spurs. It is not inconceivable that we get nothing from those games. It is also not inconceivable that we get 6-9 points.

The good thing about Fulham's results thus far is that of the teams below us we have only lost to West Ham who's two goals should both have been disallowed. Only really been disgraced against Newcastle when we played almost the entire game a man down.

Long term injuries to Mitro/Palhinha would be a worry. We haven't played that well in the last few games but while anything from 17th up will be a good season, realistically after this start, I'll be disappointed if we finish in the bottom quarter.

Thing is with Chelsea, first half on Thurs match vs City was best they’ve played in ages. Excellent ball / game control and I think if Sterling stayed on would have been 2 nil up.

FA has deemed it homophobic abuse and an affront to the LGBTQ+ community. The chant goes back decades and is a variation of the then Chelsea chant Chelsea aggro. In the 80's a police raid caught one of Chelsea's hard core NF type leaders with a 'rent boy'. Plus the idea was players lured to the then unfashionable Chelsea were only after Roman's roubles and therefore were akin to the rent boys of nearby Earls Court.

TBH I'd be surprised if it isn't heard at the Cottage. Abusing Chelsea rent boys is a club tradition. Although the FA/EPL are talking of banning anyone caught chanting it so who knows.

                                      This is all correct.

                                      But, illegal? Seriously?

Are Fulham nearly safe from relegation even if they lose their next 20 games?

Blackpool was slightly different as they went down with 39 points - in recent seasons, the top of the table has more points and the bottom fewer points - and 2 seasons ago Fulham went down in 18th with 28 points.

On Potter - Chelsea in a tricky spot now as they appointed him as a long term strategy to change the Chelsea model - you can't really abandon it immediately.
