worst run of results for the Cherries now since pre Redknapp, lowest ave number of shots on goal per game since PL stats started scoring stats in 97. GON continues to play players out of position and trying to play a Parker type press but without anyone attacking in packs/groups. Most supporters were 50/50 on his appointment because he got us through a tough patch, but most were convinced he wouldn't be the one to take us further.

Now it is clear he isn't and GON must go, If Foley wants to keep his promise of us staying up, he needs to go. Not helping we cant secure players in transfer window when you're playing they way you are as well...not significantly terrible, just boring and playing as individuals out of position.

Not dead yet, but hanging on for dear life

Everyone knew that once he was given a contract, Bournemouth would head a downwards trend. It always happens unfortunately.

So Chelsea snatch Mudryk from Arsenal - yet another new player. So for the past 2 windows it is

      W. Fofana 80m
      Mudryk 70m
      Cucurella 65m
      Sterling 56m
      Badiashile 38m
      Koulibaly 38m
      Chukwuemeka 18m
      Santos 12.5m
      Aubameyang 12m
      D. Fofana 12m
      Slonina 9m

plus Joao Felix & Zakaria on loan - they are only a right-back away from signing a whole team.

Net spend is 350m plus - and still no real sign of a plan.

Chris Wood loan move to Forest.

Quite gutted about this. Wood gave me a genuine reason to be on the Newcastle / Howe bandwagon.

Now, I don't have one other than being a glory hunter.

It appears this will become a permanent deal.

Leandro Trossard to Arsenal is a good move. He can play across the front line so allows rotation.

Really enjoyable game. I’d be in the anyone but city camp and arsenal would do just fine.

TBH I’m enjoying football more than rugby at the moment. The European Rugby cup has a really stupid format, I don’t really have a team I support and the rugby is generally meh.

Wood to Forest - poetic. Really hard to know how much game time he will get long term given how many players they have bought - but I think Awoniyi is injured so he should be an upgrade from Surridge.

Could only watch the first 30 minutes but it looked a great game with both teams going for it. United aren't fully functional yet but are very dangerous and play to their strengths. Those 2 Arse v City encounters are shaping up as the major hurdle for Arsenal other than just losing their way at some point.

Arsenal did not go into their shell a 2-2 which shows a lot of confidence. Great game and goals.

                            @Mackerzzzz

The main reason is a good Manager.

Fulham should have stayed up in 2022 - the squad was definitely talented enough but Parker was shite

Fortunately he pissed off as otherwise we were going to lose key (disenchanted) players.

Silva came in and pretty much the same squad pissed the Championship. He and his staff have really improved a host of players; Mitro, Ream, Harrison.

Then we bought wisely. Palhinha, Leno, Willian, Perreira (another who has improved) all have added quality to the existing squad. Really happy team that know their roles.

Couyld all come unstuck in the summer though as I expect we will get picked over. We still need to add depth too so some key injuries could still fuck us.

He never seemed to have much clue and Everton is a basket case of a club anyway. Talk of Bielsa going there which promises massive amusement and probably relegation (too short a period for him to change the playing style). Also Ralph recently of Southampton and naturally Dyche who becomes a better manager the longer he is out of work.

@KiwiPie You'd have to be desperate ot a massive egoist (or both) to go near the Everton Manager's job.

They will have the nicest stadium in the Championship if it is finished in time

When was it that Everton fancied themselves as part of a 'big six'? I'd love to see them go down.

Lampard seems a hopeless manager but what are the odds that he gets yet another gig in the premier league?

When was it that Everton fancied themselves as part of a 'big six'?

The "Big Six" is a more recent thing but Everton would have been in the 1980s when they won titles.

As to their new manager, get Rooney for laughs.

When was it that Everton fancied themselves as part of a 'big six'? I'd love to see them go down.

Lampard seems a hopeless manager but what are the odds that he gets yet another gig in the premier league?

                                        Close to zero, honestly.

@Bovidae The big 6 was always a thing, but it was based on crowd support, financial muscle and to some extent history more than anything else. Chelsea only joined the top table when they gained all the roubles. City weren't really a top 6 side either until the petro dollars they were a fringe contender.

On those three criteria Everton were a top 6 club. In the 80's under Kendall they actually performed like one.
