The Chiefs Rugby Club today announced that Paul Feeney and Ross Filipo will complete the Gallagher Chiefs coaching team for the 2023 season. The experienced duo will take on assistant coaching roles to provide valuable knowledge and guidance to the squad.

You do know that rugby is usually played and trained on parks in NZ don't ya Mariner??:winking_face:
It's preseason, man I went to a Reds preseason training a few years back, and when I saw everyone in daggy shorts and singlets kind of made me realise yeah it's preseason etc. -
Chiefs Insta shows ALB and Sam Cane bronco photos. I assume that means they are nearly caught up on their base programmes to the main group.

Yeah, but I dont think they did the bronco at the same time. Most of the squad did an indoor test and these photos were of them completing it outdoors.

@kiwi_expat because, unlike the other sides, the Chiefs have elite coaching to make up for a lack of elite talent

I don’t think the ABs have had a camp have they? That’s probably an old photo.

@Crucial They're all assembling in camp this week (I think since last Friday). It was mentioned in one of the articles in the media (can't remember which one).
Edit: here is one quote from the article about Fakatava:
Dermody revealed on Wednesday that Fakatava was successfully putting pressure on the joint, had progressed well past the straight-line running phase, and would be part of an All Blacks camp scheduled for next week.

OK. Seems like I am the one that is confused. I can’t ever remember an AB training camp this early in the year. In fact the team selection later in the year is usually the first indication of a squad.

I see that DMac is part of the AB camp. I doubt we'll find out which other AB XV players were invited.
