@Duluth Then maybe not post these - usually unreliable - rumours at all.

There's multiple reports that Whitelock is going to Pau. But you don't want anyone to post that on the TSF until it's fully confirmed. That is not going to happen. It's a discussion forum and that news will be discussed here

This thread is a copy of jauzy's threads. We have posted this sort of information in exodus threads for 16 years (jauzys first exodus thread was 2007)

All Blacks test centurion Sam Whitelock has been linked to a move to French club Pau after the World Cup later this year.

French news site Rugby Rama has reported that Whitelock, 34, is close to signing with Pau – the same club younger brother and former All Blacks loose forward Luke represented after 2019.

    Is he only 34?

Got to say good on him really. Hope he cashes up big time.

    Looool

Yeah, we absolutely should keep this thread just to verified information about semi-professional club players 8 people have heard of signing for the hugely popular US party league

But don't you dare talk about one of the best AB players ever in his position leaving unless you have a cross-referenced quote

    That'll drive traffic

Jackson Garden Bachop has signed with Brive, a club which will play in the Pro D2 next season.

Interesting I thought he would be back to Wellington. Be interesting to see who the back up 10 for Wellington will be.

Aiden Morgan would be first pick and then Ruben Love would probably have to jump in if Aiden got injured. Wellington is going to have a pretty strong team again but first five depth is definitely a concern.

Not sure if he's that relevant to this thread from a recency standpoint, dude has been playing league over a year now and his last rugby was with King Country. Some of the league sites over here erroneously list him as a Waikato "Chiefs" player.

@Nepia what do you mean? Every time I saw him I thought he had a big future. I expected he would make nz sevens squad but never did.
Nothing wrong with big strong and fast.
He has found his destination now so this belongs here.

Somehow I had totally missed this. Or my memory is worse than I thought.

This announcement is from 19 April 2023.

You've got to wonder about the rationale behind selecting Clarke as one of the NZ U20 assistant coaches then. There won't be any continuity.
