I remember Te Whare as a winger in 1st XV rugby and that is where he played for Waikato. The St Paul's backline also had Cook-Savage and Wrampling so was pretty good.

      Magic round, how good?

      Genuinely fucking great event.

Broncos got things off to a flier by absolutely pumping Manly
We'll skip the Warriors, and move smoothly to the Dolphins celebrating Wayne's 900th by flogging the Sharks
      Then Souths smashed Melbourne

The Tigers continued their climb to the minor premiership by getting the Dragons' coach fired (that climb will end this weekend when the Bunnies get hold of them)
The Cowboys came back to life by pumping the Roosters, and all the guys that i abused in the post above played well. The Roosters are in a world of hurt though. I expect Walker back in the team this week
Then the last game of the weekend is a belter with the Titans beating the Eels.

Field held up, heaps of people went, looks like everyone had a ball. NRL magic round is best magic round

@mariner4life brilliant event and weather mostly held, a bit like the pitch.. mostly. They are considering moving it around including Sydney, Adelaide, Auckland etc but personally keeping it in a warmer location I think also is part of the appeal.

A couple of big upsets including the Cowboys turning up this week and absolutely smashing the Roosters. I also agree Walker should be back this week. Roosters lacked creativity for most of this event and I dont think Manu will be the csape goat. Could be Keary's turn for the reggies.
Titans also with another upset over the Eels and Fafita might have finally found the right head space for Origin, always a beast but previously just a lazy beast. The form backrower this year for me.

        Hook surely gone

when is a hip drop not a hip drop? When the grading is set at a grade 1, Ford only gets a fine, if a legit hip drop its 3-4 weeks currently. Obviously the other sin bin didnt go further on review.. All clear barring injury which there will be a few

Great move by Jason Paris. Commercially he will cast the company in a positive light after calling out the villainous NRL. And what are they going to do to him? The NRL will be much poorer without the Warriors there, so it's not like they will seriously piss off the team's major sponsor, and run the risk of making them unable to field a team. Time for someone to fucking flex their muscle

@canefan I'm surprised it's taken this long. Not surprised the NRL thinks they can review his comments and do anything about them other than reinforce his point.

You can easily take different view points from stats. Even if they have a fact based argument I don't think the Warriors will get what they want from this. I think it is great a sponsor is calling it out, as if it was the team then they just fine you and nothing changes.

Hopefully we don't see as many diabolical decisions happen and by unpopular opinion I think we still need the bunker which will annoy the fox crowd. I think NZ teams were worse off before it and it that it has pulled up many unconscious bias decisions that we always received but unfortunately it is still making many clangers. They need consistency applied here in my opinion.

                F&&K being a ref though

Consistency is all we want. But we are the most screwed over team in the comp right now. Anyone with eyes and a half functioning brain can see that

Someone should be making a video highlighting all of the decisions that have gone against the Warriors compared to other teams. Jason Paris wouldn't have made his comments on a whim. I'm sure he spoke to Mark Robinson/Cameron George first.

I'd like one of those Aussie league shows to go through all of our games, analyse and tally up all of the shonky decisions that go against us, along with shit that our opposition get away with. Yeah, they have nothing to gain, and much to lose. If he accused the refs of cheating he since revised that to bias. So they can suck it. If they didn't cheat so much they wouldn't have this problem 😉

Major sponsor tries to influence refereeing decisions ...

How is this at all acceptable?

@booboo Like don't get me wrong, the Storm game was just straight daylight robbery, but the last 2 games they've held their own, but been beaten by better opposition and had the odd call go against them but still had no bearing on the result.

I'd be more worried about scoring 6 points in the last 2 games than moaning about the refs.

Major sponsor tries to influence refereeing decisions ...

How is this at all acceptable?

Fuck em, I don't think you can watch most warriors games and not see that we almost always get screwed over in some manner. I'm fine with Paris speaking his mind and making them feel uncomfortable. If they want him to shut up they should do a better job of reffing consistently

More ex-warriors are weighing in, Monty Betham already called out the NRL weeks ago

The NRL counter by sending the token Mozzie on the reffing panel, to tell us we shouldn't believe what we see, there is no bias

                                          Warriors lose.

                                          Quick blame the refs.

                                          Not a good look.

@booboo it has grabbed alot of coverage on MSM in NZ too, they did a whole piece on it this morning on NEwshub, interviewed a ref, had the CEO on yesterday.

I dont watch alot of league, but thier refs to seem to be held a bit more accountable to poor performances than thier rugby counterparts, but I would say neither code has refs that 'cheat'.
