    @MiketheSnow

    I just did some googling and she's trying to talk out a Bill which would outlaw life-changing and irreversible surgery, puberty-blocking drugs and hormone therapy for under-18's - i.e children. You can do what you like after that age.

    She regards protecting kids in this way as hatred apparently

    So close but ...

    Female races will be "for those whose sex was assigned female at birth".

    And

    Transgender women will be able to participate in non-competitive recreational and community cycling without restriction.

    British Cycling said its women-only community programme "will continue to remain open and inclusive for transgender women and non-binary people" who can "continue to participate in a broad range of British Cycling activities in line with their gender identities".

    Firstly, your sex is determined at conception.

    Secondly they're continuing to be unfair to non-elite women.

    But it's a start.

    All this crap about there being no research is rubbish. There's plenty of evidence of male athletic advantage, and confirming what we already know inherently. I think it's more "There's no research giving the results we want".

    And the proposed study on Emily theyself is designed with the specific outcomes in mind that will be manipulated.

    @booboo

    Family member is an elite Ultra-marathon runner. Tells me that at ultra distances the gap between male and female is pretty non-existent. Also tells me there's minimal pressure from activists to allow male trans athletes to compete in the women's races... Can't think why.

    How about Qantas CEO and poster boy for diversity in the workplace today telling a packed crowd that Qantas was pretty much on the money for diversity because their execs were split approximately along the accepted 40% male, 40% female, 20% LGBTQI ratio…

    What the fuck Alan??!! 🤯

    A straight man would get cancelled for that

    Alan Joyce dumps nearly his entire holding of Qantas shares, weeks out from exit, into a market where the biggest buyer of stock is……… Qantas!

    You'd couldn't have scripted it better - surely we can't be more than hours away from the next Joe Aston piece...

    @Victor-Meldrew I'm not paying to read that, but my takeaway is teachers need to be educated on what homosexuality is, and I hope that teacher doesn't have cats.

    @Bones

    Too good not to post the words.....

    A Church of England school teacher told a pupil she was “despicable” after she refused to accept that her classmate identifies as a cat.

    The 13-year-old girl and her friend were reprimanded by their teacher at Rye College, in East Sussex, on Friday at the end of a Year 8 class on “life education” in which they were told they can “be who you want to be and how you identify is up to you”.

    The row, which has infuriated parents, was allegedly sparked by one of them asking a fellow pupil: “How can you identify as a cat when you’re a girl?”

    Their teacher told them they were being reported to a senior leader and were no longer welcome at the school, part of the Aquinas Trust, a Church of England network of 11 schools, if they continued to express the view that only boys and girls exist.

    She added that “there is actually three biological sexes because you can be born with male and female body parts or hormones” and “there are lots of genders – there is transgender, there is a gender who are people who don’t believe that they have a gender at all”.

    The girls said they “don’t agree with that” and that you “can’t have” a gender because “if you have a vagina you’re a girl and if you have a penis you’re a boy – that’s it”.

    The teacher interjected in a raised voice: “What do you mean you can’t have it? It’s not a law ... Cisgender is not necessarily the way to be – you are talking about the fact that cisgender is the norm, that you identify with the sexual organ you were born with, that’s basically what you’re saying, which is really despicable.”

    The teacher suggested they were homophobic and confused, which the girls denied. When the pupils said their mothers would be on their side, the teacher responded: “Well that’s very sad as well then.”
