Is it any good, normally things get pretty crap by the fourth movie?
I guess if you can turn your brain off, or enjoy the F&F franchise, then this would be thoroughly entertaining.
No different than the previous, then. JW is good, 2 and 3 ok. Won't bother with 4 if it's worse than 3
It's probably not worth watching it if this is the mindset you're starting from.
I enjoyed it, it's switch of your brain fun, like @Bovidae the first is still the best for me.

@Machpants worst but is JW4 is almost 3 hours...that kind of movie should be about 100 mins only.

Mmm oh well if I have a few beers it'll A) seem better and b) shorter - as I'll forget half of it. If I do decide to watch it haha

John Wick 4
- Yeah, pretty bad
- It's like they somehow looked at how successful the previous ones were, and completely misunderstood which part kept it successful
-
- ie: It wasn't the whole "Table" bullshit
-
- But... this leaned heavily into that... and every aspect of that was fucking shit
-
- and when they tried to recreate "fight scene in a cool museum type setting" - pretty shit
-
- But... when it just went back to core concept - which it did fairly often, to be fair - enjoyable
I'm going to watch John Wich again several times.
I'm probably going to watch John Wick 2 & 3 again occasionally.
I'm only ever going to watch John Wick 4 again as a drunken "why was that so shit again?" reminder. Like Lethal Weapon 4.
And tit-watch: zero. That fucking poker game. I mean... fuck you.
I appreciated some (attempts) of the nods to proper original kung-fu movies, but that was a spit-in-the-face. -

I've been thinking about watch the Mark Lester (Commando) movie Extreme Justice (1993).
A rogue cop joins an elite L.A.P.D. unit who secretly operate as a vigilante death squad, but soon begins to question their methods.
I remember it being a good watch

@MiketheSnow Nice.

A few pointsā¦..
Overall looks much better than Crystal Skull.
I REALLY hope that annoying chick who plays the annoying droid in the Solo Movie isnāt annoying in this.
You can guarantee Mads Mikkelsen will play an awesome bad guy. Itās just how he is.
The de aging of Harrison Ford looks amazing.
Fucken size of the fluffybunny in the background at 1.08, you can be assured heāll dish out a good beat down.
booked tickets for this in a couple of weeks, fingers crossed
side point re harrison ford, he's taken over the role of Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU....whose main defining feature is a big old bushy mustache, photos from set show Ford doesn;t have one, looks like he give no fucks and theyre going to have to CGI one on him

Early reviews have been dire
-
@MiketheSnow for indiana jones?...might have to avoid the thread for a bit as already have the tickets

Watched Prometheus and Alien Covenant again over the last few days.
Though they got pretty poor reviews when they came out, thought they merited a re-watch and they were actually pretty damn good to watch. Fassbender in particular was outstanding as a villain.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Directed by Guy Ritchie. Starring the Stath, Aubrey Plaza, Hugh Grant, Carly Elwes and Josh Hartnett.
This was actually really fun, it's the Mission Impossible movie I've been wanting where the team has a mission and they do it and don't wind up being double crossed by their bosses (although they do have a competing team).
So I finally got to see this and actually agree with @Nepia .
Enjoyable movie, surprised it didn't last longer at the movies (well in Australia anyway), would have been good on a large screen
