In a way, it's kind of "Trolley Problem: The Movie", which does make it amusing in a dopey way.

Is it any good, normally things get pretty crap by the fourth movie?

I guess if you can turn your brain off, or enjoy the F&F franchise, then this would be thoroughly entertaining.

    sums it up nicely

@Machpants i thought it wasn't as good as the first two but better than the 3rd

    A few points…..

Overall looks much better than Crystal Skull.

I REALLY hope that annoying chick who plays the annoying droid in the Solo Movie isn’t annoying in this.

You can guarantee Mads Mikkelsen will play an awesome bad guy. It’s just how he is.

The de aging of Harrison Ford looks amazing.

Fucken size of the fluffybunny in the background at 1.08, you can be assured he’ll dish out a good beat down.

booked tickets for this in a couple of weeks, fingers crossed

side point re harrison ford, he's taken over the role of Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU....whose main defining feature is a big old bushy mustache, photos from set show Ford doesn;t have one, looks like he give no fucks and theyre going to have to CGI one on him 😹

I can’t imagine Harrison has ever given a fuck.

Watched Prometheus and Alien Covenant again over the last few days.

Though they got pretty poor reviews when they came out, thought they merited a re-watch and they were actually pretty damn good to watch. Fassbender in particular was outstanding as a villain.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Directed by Guy Ritchie. Starring the Stath, Aubrey Plaza, Hugh Grant, Carly Elwes and Josh Hartnett.

This was actually really fun, it's the Mission Impossible movie I've been wanting where the team has a mission and they do it and don't wind up being double crossed by their bosses (although they do have a competing team).

So I finally got to see this and actually agree with @Nepia .

Enjoyable movie, surprised it didn't last longer at the movies (well in Australia anyway), would have been good on a large screen

@bayimports I enjoyed it too, good fun action flick.

Thought Hugh Grant was excellent, never used to be a fan of anything he was in, but have come round since The Gentleman

Both flawed but I’m a fan of them and I can’t wait for them to finish off Davids story as I’m sure they will.

Possibly let down by supposedly smart people ( geologists, scientists etc ) doing stupid things but that’s movies for ya.

Neither are a patch on Alien or Aliens but they’re pretty damn good and link the universe together well.

    King Richard

What an amazing story, even more miraculous because it’s true. Acting was good, but the story itself was the star. The film did a decent job trying to relay the dangerous life they had in Compton, showcased the strength of the family unit and the tennis was plausible. I didn't realise that the Williams pioneered the open stance groundstroke, but it was implied they were at the forefront, an excellent film on many levels. 5 flabbergasted coaches out of 5 GOATs

    Saw it today.

Bawled in about 5 diff moments. Smiths speech about being every little black girl when going pro put me way over the edge.

Great film, incredible scting, phenomenal story.

All in all, I’m ok with 5/5.

    Avatar - way of water

on disney so finally watched it, just to be clear....very impressive visuals, although my point from earlier in the thread still stands, its SO cgi it actually feels animated

    but...
bringing back the same bad guy?....lazy
immaculate conception of sigourney weavers character just so they can have a +75 year old acting as a tween?...lazy
inventing a new "unobtainium" to justify the genocide of water people rather than forest people?...lazy (why not purely make it about bringing who they saw as a traitor to "justice"?)
how many times can the kids get caught and escape....a least one could have been cut
and 98% of the film being set in the same setting (water)...just made the film very samey...and felt super long, i know films like dune have the same colour pallet for most of it but i felt they made it part of the brooding nature of the film...this was just real blue

dont get me wrong, watched it all, wanted to see what happened in the end...really felt like it cold have done with an editor

One of Guy Ritchie's poorer movies - the whole thing felt like paint by numbers in comparison to his other work. Hugh's character Greg looked like he walked straight off The Gentlemen as Fletcher into shooting this.

    Still entertaining.

@Kiwiwomble gave up after 15 minutes. Found it unwatchable, for pretty much the reasons that you cite. Didn't have your patience or your stamina.

@Kiwiwomble agree with your points, seriously why did they make it even longer than the first? They could have cut out an hour and still kept their story, albeit re-hashed. Tough to finish
