So... I just happen to currently be
playingsolving thenerd-gamepuzzle BioShock... and as I come to the "Submarine Bay" - what do I find? A vehicle which includes a perfect fucking sphere as the main component for passengers. ... even nerd-game developers know that is how shit works. -

Weissmann said Rush told him how he had gotten the carbon fibre used to make Titan, specifically the hull of the vessel, "at a big discount from Boeing". Weissmann wrote in Travel Weekly that Rush said he was able to get the carbon fibre at a good rate "because it was past its shelf life for use in airplanes".
Again, what could possibly go wrong...

Perfectly reasonable, aircrew are way more important and cooler than submariners. They can have their second class fibre

In all seriousness, on seeing that Itinerary it must have been an incredibly introspective time for those on those onboard ship who'd paid to be "Mission Specialists", and who hadn't been drawn for that first dive...
