I think I'll be dipping out of following the leadup chat though. Two guys deliberately confusing the different uses of the word African (African born, African race, African resident) who probably quite like each other and will be friendly after the bout

Hooker turned things around after a tough start. Not sure how that was a split decision, at least the result was correct. Finished the fight with a broken bone in his arm (the same wrist that cancelled the last fight?)

They are going to push O'Malley hard.. he's a twat but they clearly see him as the next big star.

Ian Garry looked good despite not quite getting the finish. Was there bad blood in the leadup? If not, I guess he'll be another polarising fighter.

There's been a bit of CKB/UFC news recently

Kai Kara-France got a concussion during training so is out of the Sydney card (Sep 10th)

CKB still have 6 fighters on that card as Kevin Jousset has been added to the UFC roster. He's French but has been with CKB for 4 years now.
He's fighting Kiefer Crosbie who has moved across from Bellator

CKB might have another UFC soon. Aussie Cam Rowston is on the contender series in just over a week
