Exactly. One line about being concerned, investigating the allegations and further update to come = no problem. Instead they have a shitstorm, and only themselves to blame, for making the kind of extremely stupid comments that media LOVE.

I can't believe this story led the 6 pm news tonight. If Mad Mondays have been a tradition for Super rugby teams in the past they've obviously been uneventful.

Re the stripper, I could guarantee she and every stripper under the sun have people try to grope them every time they're working. If you're going to take your clothes off in front of (usually) drunk strangers and wiggle your bits in their faces, with the specific intention of earning more money, surely putting up with the odd stray hand grabbing a feel of said bits comes with the job? And why only cry to the media when it's someone 'famous'? Nothing but attention seeking from all involved.

I am not sure if you have ever been to the rippers but that's not how it works in any civilised society. The rules are clear they can touch you cannot. Breaking that rule usually gets you kicked out, if you're lucky, and roughed up if you're not. It should get you arrested but because of this bullshit attitude that strippers are all sluts and deserve it the police probably don't take those kind of things as seriously as they should and the strippers probably don't feel they have the protections they deserve.

Here is a tip for you, if you havent walked a mile in her clear heels don't push your puritan agenda on her. She has the right to do the job she chooses without being assaulted. If you can't keep your hands to yourself when you see a naked woman that is your issue not hers. Why should she work a checkout or be a lawyer if being a stripper gives her days off and pays more. Its none of your business why she chooses this job.

Now was she assaulted? I have no idea the truth will come out in the wash. But this idea that she "deserves it" or should "expect it" for being a stripper can fuck right off. When you hire a stripper you hire an entertainer not a slave to do with as you please.

Finally to the CEO and the HR lady do your fuckin jobs no one cares what you think about her morals. Answer the questions you can, and leave the bait for the fish. I am sure some of you will try and call this out for white knighting the girl. But honestly I am speaking out in protection of the industry, ask yourself do you really want to live in a world with no strippers?

I'm torn on this one really mooshld. I get what you're saying and basically agree with it. Her career choice, who's to judge it? Not me, that's for sure - but she HAS made that choice and HAS to know that things are not going to go by the rules all the time and therefore HAS to accept that such things are bound to happen in her career of choice. Rightly or wrongly. It's like playing rugby and then whining to all and sundry when you get a whack 'cos you're a 7 and constantly offside. I'm not for a minute suggesting she should put up with this sort of behaviour but it sure as hell shouldn't surprise her.

Who says it surprises her? I very much doubt this lady needs any middle age rugby forum poster telling her about the possible risks involved in doing this work. But that won't stop half the country mansplaining to her how risky, stripping at private parties can be, and how she should just accept sexual assault as an unpleasant aside to her work life balance.

But put yourself in her situation. You take a job explain the painfully simple rules but the guys ignore them and get touchy, what would you do? Take it on the chin? (Possible pun intended) Because some dudes can't respect the rules. Now remember these guys are like Hamilton royalty if there is such a thing, and she is already looked down on by all a sundry for her low morales. So other then the media who should she go to? Now its out there it has to be taken seriously by the police and the chiefs can't ignore it.

So she may be looking for her 15 minutes or she may be taking pretty much the only avenue available to her to do something about this. We don't know if she has complained to the police about assaults in the past to be ignored or if she has had a bouncer to rough these fellahs up in the past. We don't know a thing about her. But she has made a complaint and it should be taken seriously and people should put aside their personal beliefs about when sexual assault suddenly becomes acceptable. Because the law says it never is.

If only. To be fair I'm not telling her anything, just saying that, like it or not, right or wrong, this sort of behaviour IS a fairly staple part of her chosen career. No, I do not think she should put up with it but I do think it's an odd stance to take in whining to the press. If it was THAT bad complain to Chiefs management, threaten them with the press, walk out, kick the bloke in the nuts.

What could possibly go wrong?". Now remember these guys are like Hamilton royalty if there is such a thing, and she is already looked down on by all a sundry for her low morales. Here you have a very valid point. Why is it that she is judged for being a stripper but the guys are not judged for ogling a stripper? Bizzarre when you you think about it. So other then the media who should she go to? Now its out there it has to be taken seriously by the police and the chiefs can't ignore it. Perhaps. Or perhaps she sees her chance of her 15 minutes and is dragging guys through the mud. Who knows? Either way, she has made her career choice and unless things were really bad rather than some twat trying for a quick grope, then get on with it. Note I am not condoning said twat's behaviour, just saying that level of twattishness is par for the course, happens hundreds of times and so why is it worthy of such publicity now.

Cato. This is getting way too reasonable. The one thing I would add is it's easy for us as men to say deal out some violence in retaliation. But in reality that is probably not an option open to her. Actually unless you're built like David Tua is probably not open to you against a bunch of professional rugby players. Plus it opens her up to an assault charge.

With any luck those involved will apologise and we can get on with our lives.
