A female transgender footballer is considering taking legal action for discrimination after a series of rival teams 'refused to play against her'.

With reporting like that I thought they were Pink News or equivalent.

as much as i think the situation is ridiculous and applaud the women who've boycotted his team, the reality is that he has a point - the FA has created this situation by creating ridiculous rules that suggest there are situations in which men can play in women's football, and in his view, he's met those criteria. We should be shouting at the FA in this situation.

    Understandably inevitable for cricket.

Prime Shoaib Akhtar playing in the WBBL would have been worth the price of admission

    So $5

A Shoaibina or two turning up would be the end of most female grades fairly fast.

Good decision by the ICC. Challenges for the women's game remain growing participation and building depth of talent. While the female game is arguably in some of the best health that it has been, we still have a long way to go. It would be less than ideal to have a proverbial Michelle Starc or a Nina Wagner turning up in the middle of recent progress...

So he was likely Bi and we can now forget about the 4 women he married and all that counts is the one guy he married, all based on texts from the day that historically have been shown to be biased smears on unpopular figures.

Possibly, but a lot of the regulations and guidelines do end up drifting downwards to the community game. I suspect the ICC decision will make the conversations easier.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping but I was just pointing out that perhaps it is more a case of influencing rather than having complete sanction over the grass roots level, which must be helluva different in all the various cricket playing countries. Sadly this takes time which may come too late for many women.

Texting really hasn't changed over the last couple of millennia. Cyber bullying has been around for, like, 4eva. Esp 4 ppl like Elagabalus, prolly got dissed for marrying a slave too.

Re cricket - this is the important part I reckon "“The changes to the gender eligibility regulations resulted from an extensive consultation process and are founded in science,"

Last three words are the key for all governing bodies that want to keep their playing fields level. Prove an unfair advantage (which we all know anyway) and hopefully some of the bullshit goes away.

Agreed. At least now any 'but you're blocking my path to the White Ferns! ' argument is taken out of play if we have to make any local level calls...

The same UN that's yet to condemn Hamas? Does anyone give a flying fuck what the UN thinks?
