Movie Trailers are like food menus, they give you a preview of what your gonna get. If you look at a McDonald's menu and you choose to get your favourite burger, presented/showcased in a nice picture with pickles, chicken, mild cheese(you're favourite, in-fact...that's the only reason you're getting this burger...because you love mild cheese). So you use your hard worked money to pay for this burger, you get the burger, but only to find out that...this isn't the burger you ordered. Yes it has pickles and chicken...but...it doesn't have mild cheese...it has regular cheese.
Suicide Squad trailers showcased several SPECIFIC Joker scenes that I had to pay for the whole movie just so that I can go watch those SPECIFIC SCENES that WB/DC had advertised in their trailers and TV spots. These scenes are: When Joker banged his head on his car window, when Joker says, ''let me show you my toys'', when Joker punchs the roof of his car, when Joker drops a bomb with his face all messed up and says, ''BYE BYE!''. Non of these scenes were in the movie. I drove 300 miles to London to go watch these specific scenes they had explicitly advertised in their TV ads...and they didn't show them to me. Adding to this, they were also 2 specific Katana scenes they advertised that were also the reason I wanted to go watch the movie. These scenes were: Katana's eyes going black, and a slow motion shot of her and her sword taking souls...in a smokey kind of style. These scenes were advertised several times in the 1st trailer and many TV ads...but they didn't show it to me in the movie. I wasted alot of money paying and travelling to go watch this movie because of these specific scenes they had advertised to me and all of us saying, ''hey, check out our preview! this will all be in our movie, come watch it on the 5th!!''. All lies. I told the theatre about this unjust act and said I didn't get what I came here to see...can I have my money back. They laughed at me and kicked me out. So I'm now taking this to court. I want my refund, the trauma of being embarrassed as I was being kicked out and people laughing at me for wanting my refund, and also the 160 pounds of fuel money I used to drive to London from Scotland.
If you advertise something...give me what you have advertised. Period. This is becoming a habbit with movie studios, showing epic scenes in trailers...but their never shown in the movies. It's unjust.
I just want to say, join me if you feel the same way. Let's stop this nonsense of false bullshitery...and don't let them bribe you with their ''deluxe premium special directors gold extended edition supreme cut'' nonsense. You should get what they advertised as their first theatre showing and what you have paid for based on what they have showed you in their advertisements.
Our court process will begin on 11/08/16 this week.
Edit: Further to us taking legal action on Suicide Squads false advertising scheme, we've launched a petition for fans and general film goers to get their refunds. If you feel the same way, please sign and together we can help make cinema better for everyone. Thanks.

A documentary about backyard brawling in Florida. Guy runs a fight company in his backyard with a few characters who dream of getting into the MMA. Sad in a lot of ways especially the meeting they have where the big boss dada 5000 just spouts a lot of cliches and all the guys just nod in approval. Education in the US seems to really be failing a lot of people.

Family movie night on Saturday, and the kids have already seen anything animated worth watching. As Little Miss the Aussie is only 8, Batman vs Superman was off the table.
 
So we saw this instead, and I regret none of it.
 
What a fucking excellent film. What a wonderful statement to a guy like me, in his 40s now, and wondering what the fuck he's doing with his life. 
 
Loved the scenery. The acting was great. The zone-out scenes were funny as, and the whole family loved it.
 
5 out of 5 middle-aged men who woke up to the banality of their lives and did something about it.

Ghostbusters: Apparently this was supposed to be the worst thing to happen to movies ever, EVER! Meh, some people are just fucking stupid. It was a decent movie, pretty funny in parts and probably easily the best of the 80s/90s remakes of the past few years.
 
'Girl' Ghostbusters actually work and Chris Hemsworth is quite funny as the himbo.

Boy was sick at school. Picked him up early from work - saved me from a 3-hour bullshit session on Mission and Purpose :good: - and decided, as I had a bit of Google Credit, we were overdue for Batman vs Superman via ChromeCast.
 
Unlike MN5, I like the superhero movies because as a kid I wanted to see them done right, and all we got was shite.
 
I really enjoyed this. It was a little dreary in parts as Snyder tried to set up the imagery and do flashbacks and shit, but overall it was exactly what I expected: shit blowing up and overpowered mofos smashing the shit out of each other.
 
I liked Affleck's Batman. I thought he did the drunken playboy/remorseless prick balance very well.
 
3.5 out of 5 tortured rich orphans.

The fact is Ghostbusters is an incredibly popular franchise with a strong following. It isn't just the 2 movies, but also video games, cartoons and comics. A third film has been in the works for years. It defies belief that Sony would want to reboot such a strong brand in the comedy/horror genre as a girlpower movie. Why would you do that? You piss off the diehard fans, lose a massive audience of male nerds and geeks who don't want to see a chick flick, and the girls don't want to see it because they want a proper chick flick not 30 plus year old women killing ghosts. It makes no sense from any perspective, particularly from a financial one. A mixed team would have allowed them to sell shitloads of toys, but no way that's going to happen.
 
They should have rebooted it with a mixed team and with a better director. Now the entire franchise is dead again.

As for some of the other points, the Murray litigation emails pre-date Feig's involvement in the franchise and the idea to have women leads. The email was from when Reitman was still attached to direct and Ramis was still alive.
 
Better director? Feig is one of the better comedy directors floating around these days, to suggest otherwise is just stupidity (even if you don't like the fact his films are female centred).
 
A chick flick is a romance/romantic comedy film directed at women. As I said, Ghostbuster's isn't a chick flick, it's just a film with female leads.
 
So what if the franchise is dead, in this age of reboots, sequels, prequels etc it can probably be kicked back into life if the fanbois get a director, team and story they like.
