Looking forward to seeing that, at least Fring answer bloody questions as they go.

I'm only watching Lost to see how they try to wrap this up, it's bloody painful. Funny TV though, I feel like how they are portraying Sayid at the moment, sitting on a log looking sullen at all the bullshit around him.

yeah but the alternate world in lost only exists so they can drag out another full series, and it isnt just a what if world, it is a this could have happened if all this other shit had gone on before and all culminate on all these same people travelling from Aus.

Keep watching Lost. We are a few episodes ahead, and answers have started to appear. The next episode to air in NZ (Ab Aeterno) was great!

.... and in other news 24 has been cancelled in the US. I wonder if the producers knew this before the end of the current season so they could provide a more satisfying end than usual
Ah but the alternate universe just got awesome on Fringe. Walternate. Loved the 80's style credits.
That was a quality episode, that guy playing Walter is an excellent actor.

I see where Bob Odenkirk is now on the show, playing character Saul Goodman.

Many years earlier he played Larry Sanders kooky agent.

Odenkirk was one-half of "Mr. Show," the HBO comedy UI mentioned above, but I suspect nobody else here has seen.

(The other half was David Cross, probably most familiar on "Arrested Development.")

I've seen quite a bit of Mr Show. Loved the McHutchence vs Greeley III bit.

Oldenkirk's appearances on Tom Goes to the Mayor and Tim and Eric are worth checking out.

Bloody hell, sitting through a movie for 24h, that's mad.

Unless they make it shorter, in which case they'll have to call it "2.5", "1 and a bit" or something like that.

assuming you have the right episode (how Richard/Ricardo got to the Island) I thought it was pretty lame, just gave more questions, even broached the issue of what is going on that has been speculated (ie they are in hell)

I think they are clarifying rather than answering. We know that the island is there to keep the devil/man in black stuck on the island, so that was an important tidbit.

It's very much a god/devil thing now isn't it. With god trying to show that he's wrong about men's nature.

I agree, but this kind of thing came up after series 2 or so IIRC, and then the story seemed to veer away from that as a possibility, so to return to it, seems like they are making it up as they go along.

Every TV show makes it up as they go along, nothing would get made if they had to write all out first.

I've said before I think they had a three series idea and had to pad the middle out because of the success. Everything they are referring to now was in Season 1 & 2, and I'm pleased the smoke monster is a key element because that was the biggest WTF of the first season.

yeah was little of the smoke monster thingee in the first couple of seasons (it took the African guy, Eko) along with the Polar Bear, but has certainly been about since it has had Locke's body.

As for making it up, more they seemed to just meander at one point, with no direction, new characters, new things on the island, at least there is a little more consistancy now....at least we didnt have to deal with the alternate lives of them
