“People have forgotten that I did play at eight in 2019, I played three games.

“I’d 100 per cent be open to playing there again, but I think I’d have to lose at least 10 kilos – I’m 135 at the moment, so I just need to be disciplined and make the right choices with food.”

Ouch, I hope this is wrong, player pulling out of game because he hasn't been paid money is not what we want happening.

@Dan54 really interesting situation though, the relocation fee is outside his contract (why?)...so is he in breach of contract by not playing?...can they fine him...say...$7k for not playing?

Apparently the relocation fee was not part of his wage (keeping it out of salary cap?) , but not sure how or what is story, bottom line is he has been done out of money etc. I get idea maybe he has found a way to getting out of contract so he can fins somewhere else to go before the rest of team come on market?

this passage would suggest that the Rebels have a few on-field issues to deal with as well - not ideal to be relying on your 92kg winger for turnovers and slowing of opposition

**"The back’s absence was felt against the Reds, with the Wallaby one of the side’s strongest over the ball.

Unable to slow the Reds’ ball down in the first half the visitors scored five tries to a match-winning lead into half-time.**

not sure i agree thats one of their many issues, i think its pretty common now days for wingers to be leading turnovers stats

there is often a debate wabout what actually is Australia's national sport. Is it AFL? Beloved in 3 states and growing in 2 others. Is it cricket, the one true national love that owns the summer? Is it swimming, where australia pours millions looking for medals.

None of these are right, the national sport of Australia is the spill. At it's highest level, this is the all too often seen toppling of an elected Prime Minister by a cabinet spooked by polls, or just because some other narcissist wants the job more.

Rugby is trying for its time in the spotlight, as some other group of probable ex-administrators and Shute Shield devotees posing as the solution to all rugby's woes pushes to get rid of the entire Board and start again.

Face value? they have a point. But shit, read their letter, they seem like Hamish McLennan's mates trying to absolve him of the guilt and get everyone else fired as well.

                            Should be a fun AGM

Pretty disgusting per play and history white wash attempt by used car salesman McLennan's mates. They obviously are Phil's mates two, as he is mentioned as not to be ousted, despite being all over this mess

To my earlier point: this is why league are streets ahead of us. They don't eat themselves when it comes to what matters.

@mariner4life this bit isn't wrong though is it?

“In fact, the current Chair and the current CEO were directors who were a so called ‘Board Rugby Committee’ and they supported the action to dismiss the Wallaby coach and the appointment of his replacement.

Zero accountability, but it looks like they identified an opportunity to climb further up the greasy pole.
