Makes sense, cricket and baseball obviously aren't identical but do have some transferable skills, and it's not like USA is short of immigration from cricketing nations.

When I was working at an American university 20 years ago there were always Indian students playing cricket on the campus footpaths. I'm sure many stayed in the US.

Aaron Jones was born in NYC but played mostly in Barbados.

Dude, I’m not @Virgil quite a lot of my favourite cricketers ever are Aussies. The Waughs, Border, Gilly, Warnie, Matty Hayden, Langer etc.
