I'm pretty sure he played rugby league in Auckland last year. Saw an article somewhere that said only being a partially contracted player in Dunedin was difficult financially, and that's why he returned to Auckland. Probably at that level where he was a very competent NPC winger. Just not Super quality.

Vahaakolo played for Massey in the North Harbour comp this year.

I hope the Canes have their eyes on Callum Harkin who today guided OBU to the Jubilee Cup. I’ve watched him a couple of times now and he would be a far better option than JGB.

I remember him breaking his leg in a Canes pre season game back in 2019 playing as a halfback. He looks to have come of age as a ten though. Hopefully he starts for Wellington this year.

Rumour circulating is Asofa Aumua is next in line for Moana with Ardie involved in getting some big names, I do see he is contracted next season at Canes, have heard several people mention it.
